This team specializes in delivering Data Centers facility planning, design, engineering, construction, technology, and energy services to our valued clients.The OpportunityIn this role, you will have the opportunity to: Lead the delivery of design-only, design-build, and construction only projects in Electrical Engineering deliverables for Data Centers projects. Provide subject matter expertise in the area of Data Center design. Train and develop early career and/or inexperienced professionals. Work with a collaborative team of engineers experienced in the Data Center projects. Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers. Interact in a client-facing/business development role. Support business development, including developing scope-of-work, level-of-effort, and site visits to understand the scope of the pursuit. Continuously development technical expertise. This opportunity is located in Darien, IL.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing or equivalent experience in engineering work.
Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary (U.S. Professional Engineer License).
All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Previous Project Lead experience in Data Center Designs.
Demonstrated understand of design risk factors for redundancy and resiliency.
Understanding of design differences in hyper-scale, edge, and colocation data centers.
Possesses a proficiency in 3D modeling as well as managing and creating complex families with custom parameters within Autodesk Revit.
Familiarity with Data Center tier rating systems.
Strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit
Experience utilizing BIM 360, Navisworks, Revit work sets, view templates and project phasing.
Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
Self-motivated to deliver results when given a deadline.
Attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and leverage data and metrics to challenge current assumptions.
Sound, professional communication skills to engage in client-facing activities.
Ability to lead projects including management of project schedules, budgets, and staffing.
Support business development, including developing scope-of-work, level-of-effort, and site visits to understand the scope of the pursuit.
Strong leaderships skills, with desire to train and develop early career and/or inexperienced professionals.

Responsibilities

Proactively provides guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and B&V policies.
Applies knowledge and ensures compliance with B&V quality program.
Prepares a variety of complex engineering deliverables for multiple or mega projects.
Prepares complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles.
Manages assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team members on complex projects.
Responsible for determining identification of key client interests and drivers on projects.
Works to identify future client needs and how to better position B&V for the future.
Serves as the technical specialist in a broad area of specialization, or in a narrow but specialized field.
Typically oversees performance management, career planning, recognition, learning and development, and corrective actions.
