We are looking for an Sr. Environmental Health and Safety Specialist for our Corporate Headquarters and Research & Development (R&D) facilities in North America. As the Sr. EHS Specialist, you will serve as a key member of the EHS team for the Materials Group North America business. Your key responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Act as the primary EHS resource for the needs of the corporate headquarters(onsite), and three additional facilities based in Painesville, OH and Azusa, CA (remotely). Implement programs and develop facility-specific procedures that ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory and company requirements. Integrate company and facility level EHS management systems to maintain compliance, environmental protection, and safe operating conditions. Track and regularly report the status of regulatory compliance and improvement initiatives. Maintain OSHA 300 log, form 101, and all other governmental and corporate database records. Organize and control an effective accident prevention program. Implement education and training to support regulatory and business requirements. Facilitate the management of change (MOC) program and ensure timely completion of approvals and Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews. Act as a resource and mentor to facility safety teams. Lead as the emergency response coordinator for the corporate headquarters. Investigate all spills, releases, injuries, fires and near-misses and documentation in our reporting system. Coordinate and maintain the Job Safety Analysis program, maintaining chemical approvals, and evaluating new R&D procedures for EHS considerations. Conduct periodic inspections of plant machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure conformance to appropriate safety and sanitary standards and regulations. Drive continuous improvement and deliver strong results from behavioral-based processes.
