Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Corporate EH&S Strategy: Identify and implement EHS best practices across the organization. Align EHS programs with business objectives and operational goals. Support site EHS needs and promote safety awareness. Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on EHS matters. Lead cross-functional EHS committees and initiatives. Health and Safety Management: Develop and implement corporate-wide safety policies, procedures, and training programs. Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and ergonomic evaluations. Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics (e.g., TRIR, DART rates). Direct accident investigations, root cause analysis, and validate that application of corrective action is completed and effective. Conduct safety inspections at Blommer sites Environmental Management: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental laws, codes, and standards that apply to the facility. Maintain records and logs necessary to verify compliance. Provide oversight of Blommer operations ensuring all legal and regulatory obligations are fulfilled timely. Ensure proper permitting of new equipment installations, equipment modifications, and/or manufacturing process changes that affect current permit limitations. Environmental Sustainability: Lead corporate sustainability initiatives and ensure alignment with Blommer and Fuji Oil’s environmental goals. Identify and support projects that reduce energy use, water consumption, waste, and emissions across all sites. Track and report sustainability metrics, supporting internal dashboards and external customer or ESG reporting needs. Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to implement resource‑efficiency improvements. Promote environmental stewardship and integrate sustainability into daily operations and decision‑making. Facilitate sustainability audits evaluating Blommer’s environmental impact, energy efficiency, waste management, and social responsibility to ensure compliance with regulations and sustainability goals Auditing & Reporting: Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities. Prepare and present EHS performance reports to executive leadership. Maintain documentation for regulatory inspections and certifications. Safety Training: Develop EHS training programs for employees and contractors. Promote a culture of safety through communication, recognition, and engagement. Support emergency preparedness and crisis response planning. Note: The employer reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this position Physical Requirements: General office environment with majority of time using computer Regular exposure to plant floor, including noise, dust, and variation in temperature (hot/cold) Requires frequent travel (approx. 30%) Safety, Quality and Hygiene Requirements: Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and code of conduct Comply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear Comply with all safety and quality policies and procedures including lockout tag out, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP and Allergen Performance Expectations: Collaborate to ensure that programmatic offerings are aligned with organization goals and core values Manage processes and standards to produce consistent results Promote a positive attitude and a sense of curiosity in learning new roles and responsibilities Instill a culture of leadership and engagement of team to achieve performance expectations

Requirements

  • Five (5) to Ten (10) years of experience in engineering, safety or related experience in manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience required
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience
  • Managerial and organizational skills are essential
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office suite and enterprise resource management systems (ERP)
  • Expected to identify, communicate/escalate, and problem-solve as issues arise
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
