Role description: Arcadis is seeking an experienced Environmental Permitting Project Manager to support and continue to grow our expanding business in the Western U.S. with a focus on power and energy sectors. Candidates must have experience preparing environmental documents and reports, including technical reports, National Environmental Policy Act documents, and permit applications. The successful candidate will be engaged in both client development, through the management and growth of new and existing client relationships, and in project delivery. Role accountabilities: As a Senior Ecologist/Environmental Permitting Project Manager you will be responsible for managing the life cycle of environmental permitting projects. This will include leading proposal scope and cost development; managing project budgets, schedules, and risk; client and regulatory agency coordination; and leading technical delivery and providing senior review of client deliverables. Successful candidates will have technical expertise in botany, ecology, environmental science (or a related field) and experience providing permitting strategies and guidance to both clients and internal teams. As such, experience with the Clean Water Act (CWA), National Environmental Policy (NEPA), FERC regulations and reporting requirements, and the Endangered Species Act (ESA), as well as previous working knowledge with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), U.S. Forest Service (USFS), and relevant state agencies in the western US, is required. In addition to technical and project management and delivery responsibilities, you will also be involved in supporting and/or managing the growth of new and existing client relationships in conjunction with business development and account leaders. This will include leveraging existing client relationships, supporting client account teams, and leading pursuits and proposal opportunities, including scope and cost development. The position will require a candidate to work collaboratively with a diverse team and have the capacity to balance varying priorities. A successful candidate can expect to work remotely and from the office, as needed, based on demands of project and client teams. This role could require the ability to travel up to 25% percent.
