We are seeking an Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer/Analyst to support the Army's Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD) in the assessment of aviation systems and subsystems prior to their Airworthiness Release (AWR). You will work each day in the epicenter of all Army AWR evaluations, working shoulder to shoulder with a larger team of airworthiness subject matter experts (SMEs). You will assess the development of electronic components in Army aviation including but not limited to, personal electronic devices (PEDs), carry-on equipment, weapons, radars, sensors, aircraft survivability equipment (ASE), integrated and non-integrated communication and navigation systems, medical interiors and equipment, and engine controllers. If it flies on Army aircraft, it needs to be safe before it is deployed to our warfighters.

Requirements

Required BS or BA degree
5 years of experience with Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3)
A working knowledge of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, DO-160, MIL-HDBK-240 series, or ADS-37A-PRF or similar E3 standards from another mission critical / safety critical industry
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Willingness to occasionally travel
Must have an in-scope DoD Secret clearance
