About The Position

As part of the 1-2-3 team and broader Tech24 network, the Dispatcher serves as the central hub of communication between customers and technicians. This role is responsible for coordinating service requests, managing technician schedules, and ensuring timely, accurate, and professional service delivery. The ideal candidate remains calm under pressure, communicates clearly, and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of dispatching/routing experience
  • Proficiency with dispatch software, and GPS tracking tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in computer systems and dispatch software
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and follow through on tasks
  • Strong critical thinking skills to handle last-minute delays or changes
  • Willingness to participate in a rotational on-call schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in HVAC and/or food service industry preferred
  • Experience with third-party service platforms (e.g., EcoTrack, Corrigo, Vixxo, Service Channel) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Receive intake service calls and assign jobs to technicians in an efficient and timely manner
  • Coordinate and manage technicians' daily schedules and routes
  • Communicate appointment details and updates with customers
  • Deliver a high level of customer service through professional and courteous interactions
  • Clearly communicate service needs between customers and technicians
  • Drive continuous improvement in dispatch processes and workflow
  • Reduce callbacks, repeat visits, and scheduling gaps. Track and coordinate follow-ups for jobs requiring return visits
  • Monitor technician utilization and call flow
  • Distribute workload in a way that maximizes productivity while maintaining fairness across the team
  • Learn and effectively utilize the company’s dispatch and business systems (Global Edge)
  • Maintain positive working relationships with technicians and administrative staff
  • Provide backup support in the absence of the Branch Manager
  • Participate in a rotational on-call schedule as needed
  • Oversee daily scheduling and dispatch of service calls
  • Maintain clean, accurate, and prioritized boards in GE, Service Channel, and other systems
  • Support and guide dispatchers and office staff
