Job Summary: The Senior Director of Marketing, Vail Resorts Retail & Gear Marketing is responsible for setting the strategic growth objectives to deliver on the revenue and volume targets for the company's ski/snowboard equipment rental businesses, including My Epic Gear, as well as retail business, and driving the marketing strategy, team leadership and execution of marketing efforts in support of those objectives for the Company. As a key leader on the Vail Resorts Marketing team, the Senior Director of Marketing helps establish long-term strategic plans for the growth and evolution of the gear and retail businesses. S/he is responsible for driving transformation of marketing the gear businesses through strong partnership with Vail Resorts Retail Operations, executive leadership, and other omnichannel marketing leaders. S/he also sets the vision for brand architecture across the portfolio of 50+ retail and rental brands that Vail Resorts Retail (VRR) operates across 250+ locations. S/he must leverage strategic insights and analytical rigor, while managing finite resources across complex priorities to deliver exceptional results. The Senior Director leads the VRR Marketing Team in delivering continued transformation of the gear experience through My Epic Gear, advance reservations for ski rental products, as well as driving traffic and sales to physical brick and mortar store locations for the company's Retail locations. This leader guides the creation and execution of strategic marketing plans that leverage paid media, digital and web channels, CRM, email and direct marketing, all in concert with Vail Resorts' overall marketing practices and approach.
