About The Position

To support the teams working on our exciting projects, we are looking for Senior Director, Transaction Services & Private Equity - Technology In the United States - New York | San Francisco We are looking for an experienced Private Equity/Commercial Due Diligence professional to help expand our newly established Transaction Services and Private Equity (TSPE) US practice together with the global TSPE Partner and our local Partners. This is an exciting opportunity to join the growing Transaction Services Team at Simon-Kucher. The TSPE practice aims to expand existing PE-client relationships with an additional service offering. Simon-Kuchers’ TSPE practice advises private equity funds and strategic investors both pre- and post-deal, across industries. The core focus/offering is the commercial due diligence which is delivered by the TSPE specialist team in close cooperation with our industry practices. Requirements

  • Outstanding drive, determination, and desire to be part of a growing, top-tier consulting firm.
  • Minimum 10+ years relevant professional experience as a consultant in transaction / private-equity / commercial due diligence from a global top-tier consultancy is a necessity.
  • An undergraduate degree is required; MS, MA, MBA, or other advanced degree is optional/nice to have.
  • Ability to deliver CDD engagements through a depth of content knowledge and client relationship-building skills with expertise in the Technology sector.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and ability to build, grow and maintain a high performing consulting team through effective leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven track record in acquiring and leading CDDs as well as operational management of consultant teams.
  • Management experience in building and expanding consulting teams.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills as well as written and spoken.
  • Team player, open and positive in a group dynamic.
  • Effective presentation and communication abilities to succinctly present findings, takeaways, and key recommendations to a senior audience.
  • Demonstrated record of solving complex problems, directing teams, and completing challenging project activities within tight project timelines.
  • Record of accomplishment of managing multiple engagements, including work plans, deliverables, budgets and schedules, and accounts receivable.
  • Highly inclusive and empathetic approach to leadership and team management that enables tangible returns for clients and fosters cooperation across teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work seamlessly and collaboratively with various internal and external colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for building out the current US TSPE (Transaction Services & Private Equity) practice in the US together with local partners and with the support from the central Europe TSPE team
  • Advisory of private equity funds and strategic investors on transactions with a key focus on commercial due diligence incl. project management from project acquisition to final CDD-report
  • Driving development of existing methodology, managing client delivery independently, advising internal staff on CDD
  • Collaboration with TSPE global partner as well as partners from the verticals through active participation in the further development and expansion of the practice
  • Development and management of local consultants’ team
  • Cultivate trusted client relationships, source project opportunities, and develop project proposals leading to revenue generation.
  • Actively participate in proposal development and pre-sales meetings with potential new clients to address their needs, priorities, and challenges, while expanding SK's commercial growth strategy footprint, offerings, and client base.
  • Lead and guide an incredibly talented team of junior consultants to develop innovative and actionable insights and recommendations using data, analytics, and research that delivers impactful recommendations for clients.
  • Effectively manage multiple engagements and project teams concurrently, including the development of project team members by providing coaching, training, and feedback.
  • Proactively steer the continued growth and development of Simon-Kucher's TSPE practice by contributing to practice priorities (e.g., developing new capabilities, supporting thought leadership articles/research relevant for clients), by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities (e.g., lead generation, new content creation, supporting end-to-end proposal development, and participating in client pitches), and proactively pursuing follow-on opportunities with existing clients.
