We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Director, Technical Program Management, to join our team. In this role you will report to the VP of Tech Strategy, Portfolio, Operations and Technical Program Management and join a diverse team who are devoted to meeting the evolving needs of our millions of customers and associates. About Team: Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization. What you'll do: Manage a large portfolio of multiple highly complex projects by driving projects through the lifecycle phases to successful completion as defined in project's charter; serving as the program lead for multiple projects; developing and maintaining a project schedule to track milestones; developing and executing plans for managing risk; escalating project-related issues to management in accordance with project guidelines and requirements; managing project change control processes; coordinating production issue resolution; interpreting data to help guide teams towards issue resolution and risk management; making recommendations regarding solutions to problems or issues; and presenting project status updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Model compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices. Act as an altruistic servant leader and are consistently humble, self-aware, honest, and transparent. Create the program structure and share alignment with the program team across Walmart on vision, business goals, program, and secure cross-functional teams dependencies' commitment. Lead executive committee meetings with key stakeholders to help make key decisions, remove obstacles, and address key program issues Provide on-going visibility to program status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) to all stakeholders. Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent program teams from delivering program outcomes. Manage new and existing technologies integration Create a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity, speed, innovation, and learning. Be a thought leader who can help accelerate the delivery capabilities and challenge others to change.
