Vaccines is the only place in Pfizer where you can contribute to patients in a way like no other – you can help prevent sickness and disease. This is at the heart of what drives us every day and brings us great #Joy. It’s an exciting time to be in US Vaccines, with one of the strongest pipelines in the industry and with multiple product launches. Invasive Meningococcal Disease (IMD) is an uncommon, but serious illness that can lead to death within 24 hours. About 1 in 10 people infected with IMD will die. Up to 1 in 5 survivors will have long-term, devastating consequences, such as limb amputation, nerve and brain damage. Today, there are separate, complex vaccination recommendations for MenACWY and MenB. 70% of adolescents in the US have incomplete protection against IMD caused by serogroups ABCWY. Pfizer Vaccines has one of the strongest pipelines in the industry, with multiple new products poised to come to market in the next few years. With these potential vaccines on the horizon, the U.S. meningococcal portfolio will play a key role in delivering break-throughs that change patients’ lives and portfolio growth. The licensed U.S. meningococcal portfolio is currently comprised of a meningitis (men) B vaccine, TRUMENBA®. Additionally, as part of the portfolio, PENBRAYA (pentavalent) launched in 2024 providing protection for men ACWY and B to simplify the adolescent vaccine schedule.
