About The Position

SUMMARY: The Senior Director of Talent & People will serve as a key member of Parachute’s leadership team, driving our people strategy and ensuring our culture continues to thrive as we grow. This role will oversee all aspects of People Operations — including talent management, total rewards, and employee experience — while also leading HQ office facilities and internal communications. This is a highly visible, strategic role that blends organizational leadership with hands-on operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful people leader who values transparency, empathy, and accountability, and who thrives in a fast-moving, design-driven consumer brand environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in People leadership, within a high-growth consumer, retail, and/or lifestyle brand.
  • Proven success leading all aspects of People Operations, including recruiting, payroll, and culture strategy.
  • Skilled communicator with experience overseeing internal communications at the executive level.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and feedback to shape culture and improve employee experience.
  • Hands-on leader who balances empathy with accountability.
  • Passionate about building a workplace that reflects Parachute’s brand and values.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution of Parachute’s People & Culture function, aligning our people priorities with overall business goals.
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle - from hiring and onboarding to development, engagement, and retention.
  • Partner with the executive team on organizational design, headcount planning, and employee development.
  • Manage all aspects of payroll and total rewards, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and competitiveness.
  • Own all aspects of benefits strategy and management - from designing competitive, thoughtful programs that attract and retain top talent to overseeing administration, compliance, and employee support.
  • Lead all employee relations matters, providing guidance, consistency and care in support of Parachute’s values and culture.
  • Proactively build strategy to deliver best in class retention.
  • Own all employment law and compliance matters, including development and maintenance of company policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
  • Champion a culture grounded in accountability, adaptability, and continuous improvement - fostering the discipline and growth mindset needed to scale effectively.
  • Oversee all recruiting and hiring efforts across corporate and retail teams.
  • Ensure consistent hiring standards, strong candidate experience, and an efficient recruiting process.
  • Partner with department leaders to forecast hiring needs and build talent pipelines..
  • Leverage market data to inform compensation and workforce planning decisions.
  • Manage and strengthen Parachute’s culture through intentional programming, communication, and connection.
  • Regularly track and analyze employee sentiment and feedback, translating insights into actionable improvements.
  • Lead engagement initiatives including team-building events, milestone celebrations, and recognition programs.
  • Oversee all internal communications including company-wide All Hands meetings, executive updates, and internal updates.
  • Partner closely with leadership to ensure transparency, alignment, and trust across the company.
  • Lead HQ facilities management and operations, ensuring an inspiring, functional, and safe workspace.
  • Oversee vendor management, office budgets, and space planning.
  • Lead IT operations across corporate systems and tools (GSuite, Slack, HRIS, etc.), ensuring smooth administration, access control, and security.
  • Manage vendor relationships and office technology infrastructure to support connectivity, productivity, and employee experience.
  • Create an environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, and community.
