About The Position

The Senior Director, Business Strategy, is responsible for driving new client acquisition for Decera Clinical Insights. In addition to working independently to prospect and acquire new clients, this leader will partner closely with Insights account teams to drive organic growth with existing customers.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years’ experience in a sales or senior sales role within the pharmaceutical services industry with proven success in business expansion

  • The ideal candidate has extensive experience in sales, account management and/or direct responsibility for developing and managing $3M+ medical communications/insights & engagement funding per year and is “fearless” in their pursuit of new prospects and opportunities.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional relationship with all partners and their representatives, independent contractors and consultants, faculty, key opinion leaders, advisory board members, or anyone else paid to participate in, consult with, or perform services for or on behalf of Decera Clinical or its partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with dynamic matrixed teams
  • Solid understanding of industry specifics and business strategies
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Superior management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations
  • MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on business development and sales strategies that align with quarterly and fiscal year financial goals
  • Interface regularly with existing and prospective clients to gain new business and ensure satisfaction of current clients
  • Develop target lists for new business prospects and secure new clients in alignment with financial targets
  • Collaborate with team members across the organization to create pitch decks and project concepts
  • Maintain superior knowledge of emerging and recent advances in clinical medicine, therapeutics, and the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Collaborate with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives to facilitate long-term growth of the company
  • Present monthly and quarterly performance reports and metrics to leadership
