You have a deep appreciation for culture, language, and emotion — and you know how to translate those insights into compelling scripted content that connects across different platforms. You are an outstanding communicator who effectively bridges the information needs across departments, shapes the final message into engaging content, and contributes to the optimization of organizational resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, literature or TV and Film.
  • 10+ years of experience in content storytelling and scripted content development for both Mexico and the US Hispanic market, with a deep understanding of these audiences and a strong grasp of global content trends.
  • Proficient knowledge of dramatic writing, including technical language, narrative structure, and theoretical principles – with an emphasis on telenovela and serialized melodrama formats designed for family-oriented, cross-platform audiences.
  • Experience evaluating scripted projects of both short and long formats, including synopses, storylines, series bibles, character arcs, and scripts.
  • Strong experience with audience insights research and metrics specific to Mexico and US Hispanic audiences.
  • Demonstrated expertise in content commercialization and sales collaboration, partnering closely with revenue teams to provide strategic storytelling insights and tools that help position content offerings, strengthen client pitches, and showcase the value and brand impact of the product
  • Proven experience presenting to executive leadership and fostering strong cross-departmental relationships.
  • Fully Bilingual English/Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to forge relationships with creative teams – writers, producers, directors and work collaboratively throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess the dramatic performance and creative attributes of scripted projects, ensuring alignment with audience interests, brand positioning, and strategic priorities across Mexico and U.S. Hispanic markets.
  • Leverage audience insights and research findings from both territories to make inform evaluations and recommendations.
  • Deliver clear, objective, and actionable dramatic analyses in accordance with the overall scripted content development strategy and established creative parameters.
  • Analyze key components of fictional content storytelling and transform them into strategic information for departments seeking to leverage content opportunities and drive business revenue.
  • Interpret and translate research insights provided by the Research team into actionable creative and narrative development elements that strengthen story arcs and audience engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape on an ongoing basis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for differentiation within the scripted content space.
  • Collaborate closely with the Mexico Development team and Global Marketing to support the design and positioning of launch campaigns for scripted properties, ensuring strategic alignment and creative consistency.
  • Partner cross-functionally with other Network divisions to share relevant narrative and creative insights that can inform broader business strategies and initiatives across all platforms.
