The Role Reporting to the Vice President of Operational Excellence, the Senior Director of Strategy & Program Delivery will be a critical leader within Suffolk’s Operational Excellence team, responsible for identifying the most significant opportunities for operational improvement and translating those into strategic initiatives. This individual will lead a blend of strategic planning, program execution, and change management to ensure Suffolk delivers on its most important operational priorities. This role spans three core areas: Strategic Planning – Lead annual business planning and long-term strategic planning efforts for the Operational Excellence departments and Operations Support functions, helping them define priorities, align resources, and build actionable roadmaps. Program & Project Delivery – Lead some of the most important strategic initiatives that improve operational safety, productivity, and predictability. Oversee our Program Delivery function, ensuring strategic initiatives are structured, executed, and delivered with precision across multiple complex workstreams. Change Management – Lead the organization’s operational Change Management efforts, building a scalable, effective approach for rolling out new initiatives, tools, and processes to field teams in a way that drives engagement and sustainable adoption. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, operational rigor, and collaborative leadership. The ideal candidate is a structured thinker, fast learner, and clear communicator who can build momentum across cross-functional teams and translate vision into action.
