The Senior Director of Strategy will serve as a key strategic partner to the Chief Operating Officer, leading the development and execution of the company’s long‑term operational strategy. This role will drive enterprise‑level initiatives that expand the manufacturing footprint, strengthen operational capabilities, and unlock sustainable margin growth. The Sr Director of Strategy will combine analytical rigor with strategic foresight to ensure the organization is positioned to support accelerated business growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, manufacturing, or related fields; experience in multi‑site manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Proven track record of leading large‑scale operational or manufacturing strategy initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen, providing robust analysis ROI modeling, capital planning, margin analysis, and scenario modeling to inform strategic decision‑making.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive complex initiatives from concept to execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the company’s multi‑year operational strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives and market opportunities.
  • Evaluate current operational performance and identify strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and cost structure.
  • Partner with cross‑functional leaders (Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial) to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans.
  • Identify, cultivate, and select strategic supply partners—support negotiation efforts in collaboration with procurement to support growth, ensure long‑term capacity alignment, and strengthen operational resilience.
  • Assess the current plant network and determine the optimal footprint to support future demand, including greenfield sites, facility expansions, and strategic consolidations.
  • Own and drive cross‑functional business case development, ensuring alignment across operations, finance, engineering, and commercial teams.
  • Lead end‑to-end site strategy, including location evaluation, incentive negotiations, and external partnerships, while overseeing capacity planning and capital investments to enable scalable growth.
  • Build business cases for new manufacturing capabilities, including ROI modeling, risk assessments, and long‑term capacity planning.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive talent strategy to support staffing, onboarding, and training of new workforce.
  • Prepare board‑level materials that clearly articulate strategic recommendations, risks, and expected outcomes.
  • Identify and prioritize initiatives that expand manufacturing margins, including productivity improvements, cost‑to‑serve optimization, automation, VAVE, and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Drive, closely partnering with engineering teams, acceleration of program timelines and ensure robust Design for Manufacturability (DFM) integration.
  • Partner with plant leadership to evaluate operational performance and implement strategies that enhance throughput, reduce waste, and improve asset utilization.
  • Drive continuous improvement frameworks and ensure alignment with enterprise‑wide operational excellence programs.
  • Build and lead a high‑performing strategy team capable of supporting complex operational and manufacturing initiatives in a matrix organization.
  • Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership, influencing decision‑making through data‑driven insights and strategic clarity.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organization.
