About The Position

This position is responsible for security programs to reduce risk, prevent security incidents, and create and maintain an environment that is safe and secure for employees, visitors, and vendors. Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement to assist with investigations of accidents, thefts, and property loss.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of security management best practices.
  • Knowledge of physical security systems (e.g. alarm, intrusion, CCTV, access control).
  • Positive flexible team-oriented approach with the ability to work with all levels of management and skill levels of employees.
  • Proven ability to work in stressful, dangerous, and/or emergency conditions
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong initiative and ability to self-direct on assignments.
  • Strong computer skills including fluency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5-10 years in Security Management required

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing industry preferred
  • Relevant professional certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Acts as Prasco’s physical security SME.
  • Leads the Security Department and all security initiatives.
  • Accountable for planning, developing and implementing the company’s physical security and investigative programs and strategies including developing standards and procedures for the protection of company personnel, guests and assets.
  • Performs risk management assessments, as well as ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines regarding emergencies and security. Develop and deliver facility and emergency action plans.
  • Manages the architecture of comprehensive security systems including CCTV surveillance and burglar alarms including their vendors.
  • Manages the access control system including policies, electronic access cards, visitors and vendors (vendor collaboration with OE), and key control.
  • Attend, plan, and coordinate meetings to discuss security strategies with the Hospitality & Events and Facilities teams as it relates to on-campus events
  • Plan and direct security for company personnel. Conduct surprise security drills to check the efficiency of all security measures.
  • Build relationships with, alerts, collaborates, and complies with federal, state, and local authorities (law enforcement, fire, etc.) related to security.
  • Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures for receiving, storage and handling controlled substances.
  • Develops classroom, PowerPoint presentations, forms and hands-on security training programs or policies.
