The Senior Director, Roundtables Program provides visionary leadership for ACS National Roundtables, guiding a team of strategic directors in convening models, program planning, volunteer engagement and fundraising. This role partners with clinical subject matter experts to identify emerging trends and translates scientific insights into actionable public health strategies. The Senior Director cultivates strategic external partnerships, elevates the Roundtables convening model as a proven approach to collective impact, and represents ACS in national initiatives, coalitions, and workgroups. The position ensures Roundtables meaningfully advance the goals of the Patient Support Pillar and broader enterprise priorities. This is remote position; candidates must be willing to travel 15-20%

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree Required: Master's Degree
  • Years of experience: 10+
  • Formal knowledge of the cancer continuum and related work experience is strongly preferred.
  • Volunteer and account management experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Degree: Master's Degree
  • MPH or clinical degree (MSN, MSW) [preferred] or requisite experience in health care delivery settings, public health, research, or public administration with related undergraduate degree (e.g., RN, BSW, BA/BS).

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and execution of ACS National Roundtables programming, establishing strategic vision and performance standards that align and advance the priorities of the Patient Support Pillar.
  • Leads and empowers a high-performing team of strategic directors overseeing ACS's Roundtables, driving impactful internal and external engagement aligned with Patient Support Pillar priorities and advancing enterprise-wide outcomes.
  • Creates and maintains relationships and engages with key external organizational and individual partners and identifies new opportunities for volunteers to help advance ACS National Roundtable priorities.
  • Monitors success metrics and project plans across ACS National Roundtables, ensuring timely reporting of activities, events, and outcomes to inform senior leadership, support business unit evaluation, and demonstrate impact toward ACS mission priorities.
  • Represents ACS as a national leader in convening and the collective impact framework through professional dissemination strategies including publishing and conference presentations.
  • Oversees funding and budgeting for Roundtables programming by developing sponsorship proposals and cultivating funder partnerships.
