The Patient Relations Practice Partner serves as the primary liaison between assigned practices and the Revenue Business Office (RBO). This role delivers detailed reporting and analytics to practice leadership, proactively identifies issues and trends related to payors, billing processes, and operational workflows, and collaborates with both RBO and practice teams to resolve concerns and implement corrective actions. You will ensure compliance with all billing processes and procedures, partner with RBO Senior Directors to maintain accountability for practice performance, budgets, and KPIs, and act as the main point of contact for practices to express concerns, identify trends, and seek information—fostering transparency, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 13+ years of professional experience, including 6+ years in leadership roles involving planning, communication, and organizational management.
  • Advanced understanding of revenue cycle management, payor relations, and practice operations.
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, and KPI management skills.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements for billing and coding in healthcare.
  • Ability to build relationships and advocate for practice needs within a matrixed organization.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, goals, performance standards, and budgets for assigned practices.
  • Influence first- and second-level managers across multiple sub-functions.
  • Recommend strategies to improve revenue cycle functions and achieve KPIs.
  • Work on highly complex issues requiring strategic thinking and deep organizational understanding.
  • Regularly interact with senior leadership to align functional strategies with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular KPI dashboards, operational metrics, and trend analyses to assigned practices.
  • Monitor performance data to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Proactive Issue Identification: Analyze payor and process data to detect patterns and root causes.
  • Collaborate with RBO and practice teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Collaboration & Problem Solving: Work closely with RBO leadership, practice managers, and oversight committees to resolve operational challenges and drive performance improvement.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure billing processes comply with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Support accurate documentation, coding, and timely claims submission.
  • Accountability & KPI Management: Partner with RBO Senior Directors to track budgets and KPIs, conduct root cause analysis, and review performance in monthly meetings.
  • Practice Advocacy & Communication: Serve as the primary contact for assigned practices, building trust through responsive, transparent communication and solution-oriented support.
