About The Position

Nike North America Brand Creative is seeking a Senior Creative Director, Retail Execution to lead the alignment, integration, and execution of Nike’s owned and partner retail environments across the region. We are searching for a creative and operational leader with deep expertise in architecture, spatial storytelling, and retail environments who can guide multidisciplinary teams through complexity to deliver transformative store environments. The ideal candidate blends creative excellence with operational rigor — someone who can translate brand vision into scalable retail formats that connect emotionally with consumers while meeting business objectives. They are a connector and culture builder, leading with clarity, creative courage, and empathy, and thrive at the intersection of design craft, leadership, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in retail design, spatial planning, architecture, and experiential environments.
  • 12+ years of experience leading creative teams within retail, brand, architecture, or experiential design environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, architecture, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and complex, large-scale programs across multiple markets.
  • Strong strategic communication and stakeholder alignment skills across senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated success translating brand strategy into physical environments that scale globally and resonate locally.
  • Experience partnering with external agencies, architects, and production partners.
  • Passion for innovation across sustainability, digital integration, and immersive retail technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver world-class alignment, integration, and execution of Nike’s seasonless retail across North America, helping define the future of Nike retail.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to create transformative store environments that blend architecture, sustainability, spatial storytelling, and environment into immersive consumer experiences.
  • Partner closely with North America brand, product, and business leadership to shape retail strategies that scale globally while resonating locally.
  • Collaborate with the Global Retail Creative team to scale retail formats and execution standards.
  • Leading and coaching a team of designers while fostering a culture of innovation, craft excellence, and sustainability.
  • Defining and guiding long-term store design strategy aligned with Nike priorities, brand storytelling, and partner strategies.
  • Establishing a strong creative review cadence that drives clarity, accountability, and consistent execution across projects.
  • Optimizing and extending global creative direction to meet North America market and real estate needs.
  • Driving cross-functional leadership across Brand, Retail, and Operations partners to ensure seamless execution.
  • Building external partnerships and maintaining strong industry connections to bring new inspiration and talent into Nike.
  • Ensuring retail environments deliver against both brand ambition and business performance metrics.
  • Leading through ambiguity and complexity to drive execution across multiple simultaneous initiatives.
