About The Position

Senior Director, Pipeline Business Insights & Analytics Location: Philadelphia, PA or Durham, NC The Senior Director, Pipeline Business Insights & Analytics (I&A) is the single accountable owner of data, analytics, and insights for key assets within the critical 24-month launch window prior to anticipated approval. This role ensures Business Unit (BU) leadership has a clear, trusted, and decision-ready view of performance, drivers, risks, and outlook across pre-launch and early-growth brands. This leader oversees brand-aligned Insights Development, Field Analytics, and Marketing Operations & Analytics, ensuring analytics directly inform launch readiness, in-market execution, and investment decisions. The role is a senior commercial leadership position with both strategic and operational accountability. The role will partner closely with the digital, data, and technology teams to ensure the following key responsibilities. Strategic Leadership & BU Performance Narrative Deliver a single, reconciled, and trusted view of brand performance, drivers, risks, and outlook across specialty and anti-infective brands. Own product analytics priorities aligned to brand strategy, launch plans, and the annual operating plan. Translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights that inform leadership decision-making and resource allocation. Insights Development & Launch-Focused Brand Support Lead Insights Development teams aligned to promoted specialty and anti-infective brands. Ensure lifecycle-based scaling of analytics support across pre-launch, launch, and early growth phases, with heightened focus during the 24-month launch window. Integrate insights across brands to deliver a coherent portfolio-level view of performance, trade-offs, and opportunities. Field & Marketing Analytics Oversight Oversee field analytics including targeting, incentive compensation (IC) reporting, and launch execution tracking. Drive marketing and omnichannel analytics to inform investment decisions and optimize launch effectiveness. Deliver performance measurement and optimization across field and marketing execution. Data & Operational Excellence Oversee brand-specific data environment configuration and data operations to support launch and in-market needs. Ensure reliable, timely, and issue-free delivery of analytics outputs during high-impact launch periods. Embed enterprise data standards, governance, and compliance requirements within brand analytics processes. Partner with Shared Services for scalable, predictable analytics delivery. Collaborate with Governance to ensure compliant data usage. People, Leadership & Culture Lead a high-performing I&A team aligned to business priorities. Develop talent through coaching, performance management, and career development. Set clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability across teams. Foster a culture of ownership, analytical rigor, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Align incentives and ways of working to reinforce cross-BU standards while enabling BU agility. Leadership & Collaboration Serve as the primary I&A thought partner to BU leadership for specialty and anti-infective brands. Partner closely with Finance and Forecasting to align performance measurement, outlooks, and investment decisions. Collaborate with Global Strategic Insights, Medical, Market Access, and D&A Capability teams to ensure integrated, enterprise-aligned insights. Why You? Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree At least 10 years’ experience leading cross-functional analytics teams, with specific experience leading analytics in the pharmaceutical industry. Demonstrated commercial acumen across brand, access, field, and marketing. Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders. Ability to facilitate analytics capability deployment and adoption across teams. Skilled stakeholder management across Data & Analytics, Medical, Market Access, Finance, and other analytics partners. Disciplined approach to analytics governance, quality, and execution. Comfort operating in a highly matrixed environment. Experience leading organizational evolution or operating model change.
