About The Position

The Senior Director of Operations in our Menomonee Falls, WI facility will provide strategic leadership and operational experise for Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly, Final Product Testing, Facilities, and Maintenance. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 15+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in defense, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of transforming underperforming operations into best-in-class performers, particularly through continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Strong knowledge of lifecycle processes, including new product introduction, risk management, procurement, and subcontract/vendor management.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, ERP systems, and program-based production environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with corporate goals in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Oversee production, driving Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build, coach, and mentor a high-performing operations leadership team focused on accountability and collaboration.
  • Oversee manufacturing schedules to optimize efficiency, quality, and output, while meeting cost and delivery targets.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to meet customer and contract requirements for naval and defense systems.
  • Manage facility and equipment investments to support growth and modernization.
  • Strengthen customer and stakeholder relationships through direct engagement, ensuring confidence in organizational capabilities and results.
  • Serve as a key contributor to corporate initiatives, shaping decisions on financial performance, risk management, and operational efficiencies.
  • Build an agile organization capable of responding to dynamic customer demands; ensure all processes align with ISO 9001 and applicable regulatory requirements.
