About The Position

The Senior Director of Operations Strategy will report to the Chief Operating Officer and be responsible for the development and implementation of tools and processes that optimize Quality, Delivery, and Productivity for the customers and production facilities of Winchester Interconnect.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering; advanced degree a plus
  • Experience with leading Multi-site operations
  • Demonstrated success in deployment and sustainment of Lean Manufacturing Frameworks, Tools, and Systems
  • Proven ability to lead large complex projects, including site transfers, large capital deployments, new product start-ups, etc.
  • Experience in Supply Chain, including Materials Planning, Procurement, Inventory Management, and Tariff mitigation
  • Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) experience
  • Demonstration of Entrepreneurial skills, including Strategy Development and Deployment

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute global footprint strategies that optimize customer experience, capacity expansion, and productivity
  • Assessment to include greenfield, brownfield, and existing Winchester production and 3rd party manufacturing facilities
  • Assess current operations for opportunities in material and process flow improvements
  • Recommend tooling and process strategies to optimize delivery and productivity in low-volume, high-mix environments
  • Research and recommend automation strategies for high labor content processes
  • Develop and implement a lean deployment strategy across manufacturing sites to focus on foundational elements of 5S, standard work, and tiered accountability /problem-solving
  • Ensure the standard Safety operating system is deployed across all Winchester facilities and businesses.
  • Ensure standard Quality operating system is deployed across all Winchester facilities and businesses
  • Design, maintain, and deliver an Operations talent management process to assess and develop high-potential operations leaders
  • Review and recommend employee cross-training opportunities
  • Design and implement a skills competency matrix for key processes
  • Provide operational support to business units with key talent openings
  • Participation in on-site lean/kaizen events
  • Participate in the evaluation and due diligence of potential acquisition candidates
