About The Position

The Senior Director of Survivor Services is a strategic leadership role responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of holistic programs serving survivors of human trafficking. This role ensures that all organizational initiatives are trauma-informed, survivor-led, and culturally competent. The Senior Director balances internal program excellence—mentoring staff and ensuring high-quality care—with external advocacy, national ecosystem strengthening, and legislative engagement. The Senior Director further works to engage community leaders and partnership that benefits survivor clients. This role encompasses program leadership and survivor support, community engagement and collective impact, and advocacy and policy initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or related field.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and at times be on call to provide 24/7 emergency related services to clients.
  • Experience working with exploited persons.
  • Experience with trauma informed care approaches while working with survivors/victims.
  • Present oneself, both at and outside of work, in a manner keeping with One More Child’s Core Values of Humble, Hungry, Wise, and Called.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Trauma Informed Care, and how to interact with clients impacted by trauma.
  • Ability to build effective professional and positive working relationships internally and externally.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written; attention to detail, and ability to multi–task and stay organized under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to problem solve under pressure.

  • Have had a personal conversion experience with Jesus Christ and been scripturally baptized.
  • Computer and systems skills including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Mathematical abilities including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to develop intermediate mathematical formulas in Excel spreadsheets.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee a support framework that ensures all survivor services are trauma-informed, survivor-led, and meet the highest standards of cultural competency.
  • Provide mentorship to ATMT Team Supervisors through professional guidance and lived experience expertise to prevent secondary trauma and burnout while ensuring a high level of quality care for both clients and staff.
  • Lead the direct survivor engagement strategy, ensuring that individuals with lived experience provide critical insight and guidance in organizational decision-making, program development, and leadership opportunities.
  • Build and maintain formal partnerships with law enforcement, healthcare providers, legal aid, and NGOs to facilitate a seamless, trauma-informed referral network.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to strengthen the national anti-trafficking ecosystem through comprehensive training, technical assistance, and the integration of lived experience expertise into both internal and external programs.
  • Lead the development of training materials and public awareness campaigns to equip community partners with the tools to identify and support survivors effectively.
  • Represent the organization on local, regional, and national task forces to advocate for systemic policy changes that benefit survivors and address root causes of exploitation.
  • Lead policy initiatives to advance model legislation, including direct education and engagement with state and federal legislators to promote survivor-centered anti-trafficking policies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for media inquiries, conferences, and public speaking engagements related to survivor support and engagement when a lived-experience perspective is requested.
  • Prepare ATMT staff for public representation opportunities when presented.
  • Function as a crucial part of the AT Leadership Team and help to cover supervisory tasks/responsibilities and oversight during times of reduced staffing and at other times, as needed/requested by the Executive Director.
