They are seeking a highly driven leader for the Senior Director of Product Management, Oncology role. In this position, the individual will act as the General Manager for the entire oncology product line, owning the product roadmap for Northstar, their liquid biopsy product for therapy selection and monitoring. This GM-like product leader will have strong end-to-end ownership, exceptional people management skills, and the ability to be both strategic and hands-on. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and can navigate the complexities of scaling innovative products in a competitive market. Responsibilities include leading new assay development, driving product enhancements, and collaborating with diverse teams such as R&D, clinical, and engineering to ensure oncology products meet and set industry standards. This is a hybrid position, requiring onsite presence 3 days/week, and reports directly to the Chief Product Officer.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of product management experience with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of complex product lines
  • Proven experience launching diagnostic testing products (oncology or NGS-based diagnostics preferred)
  • GM-like mindset with strategic vision and hands-on execution skills
  • Excellent people management and leadership capabilities across cross-functional teams
  • Strong background in product launch strategy, go-to-market execution, and program management
  • On-site position (relocation to SF Bay Area required)

Nice To Haves

  • Another advanced degree (Masters/PhD) in molecular biology, bioengineering, medicine, chemical biology, or a related field is strongly preferred
  • Experience with launching and managing NGS-based diagnostic testing assays is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • GM Ownership: Own the oncology product line from top to bottom, ensuring long-term strategic success while handling day-to-day tactical responsibilities.
  • Market Expert & Product Visionary: Be the company’s leading expert on user needs, market trends, and how BillionToOne’s technology can solve critical problems in oncology diagnostics.
  • Product Launch & Execution: Lead product launch strategies, overseeing every element from assay development to software apps, regulatory constraints, and customer experience.
  • People Leadership: Manage and inspire a cross-functional team of R&D, clinical, engineering, and commercial experts, aligning their efforts towards the product’s success.
  • User Experience Champion: Design and deliver a seamless user experience across the entire testing process, in collaboration with UX designers and stakeholders.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Monitor product performance, user feedback, and market shifts, making data-driven decisions to enhance product offerings and maintain leadership in the market.

  • For this position, we offer a total compensation package of $474,416 per year, including a base pay range of $257,243 - $278,680 per year.
