Why you should join our team as the Senior Director of Operations: As we venture into new global markets, we are seeking a seasoned leader who can adeptly steer our organization towards new horizons, leveraging their expertise to chart strategic pathways for sustained growth and innovation. As our Senior Director of Operations, you will continue the journey to make Wilson Connectivity a premier domestic telecommunications manufacturer, including the implementation of in-house SMT in a new state-of-art facility. You will achieve this by deepening our continuous improvement and data-driven culture by leveraging technology, optimizing processes, and empowering employees. This position is based in our St. George, Utah. We recently built a new 90,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in St. George, near our previous factory. In addition to our Utah facility, this position will oversee all aspects of Wilson Connectivity Operations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a proven track record of success as a manufacturing leader, with 10+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Be approachable, collaborative and results-oriented
  • Exhibit a strong track record of developing work and teams that drive business outcomes
  • Exhibit excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Have a bachelor's or master's degree in business, supply chain, management or a related field
  • Be willing to relocate to the greater St. George, Utah area
  • Be open to domestic and international travel as needed (estimated at less than 25%)

Responsibilities

  • Fully implement SMT manufacturing processes across all product categories that result in: Drastically improved flexibility and responsiveness to supply chain conditions and NPI efforts.
  • Elevating Wilson to a more vertically integrated telecommunications manufacturer.
  • Meet annual reduction of COGS targets to continuously improve gross margin.
  • Ensure each location (current and future add-on acquisition) operates as one team applying the same operational principles, such as continuous improvement and lean, despite location and cultural differences.
  • Successfully relocate St George operation to new facility in 2025 with minimal disruption to customer shipments.
  • Realize labor and material savings through inspirational leadership of labor and material teams.
