About The Position

This role leads and oversees the day-to-day operations of multiple production and distribution facilities, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and financial performance. The Senior Director of Operations will drive strategic initiatives to optimize productivity, implement new technologies and processes, and maintain high-quality standards. This position requires building strong cross-functional relationships, mentoring leaders, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency. The role is responsible for balancing operational priorities, resource allocation, and long-term planning to support growth and innovation. With significant oversight across teams and sites, the position directly influences service quality, operational consistency, and customer satisfaction. The role also includes evaluating new business opportunities and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related sciences; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in multi-site manufacturing operations, preferably in pharmaceutical or radiopharmaceutical environments.
  • Experience managing PET radiopharmaceutical production, including handling radiation or hazardous materials.
  • At least 5 years of experience in customer relationship management and team leadership.
  • Proven ability to lead complex operations, troubleshoot technical and operational challenges, and implement process improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and managerial skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across decentralized teams.
  • Demonstrated capability in strategic planning, financial monitoring, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Willingness to travel as required (up to 50%).

Responsibilities

  • Lead operations across the US network of production and distribution centers, managing daily business activities, personnel, budgets, and resources.
  • Implement and execute short- and long-term business strategies aligned with organizational mission, vision, and growth objectives.
  • Drive site expansions, equipment procurement, licensure, and staff onboarding/training to support operational scalability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including cGMP, radiation safety, pharmacy laws, DOT, EHS, and internal policies.
  • Optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs through process improvements, productivity initiatives, and adoption of new technologies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, service, and other teams to implement strategic initiatives and enhance customer experience.
  • Develop leadership capabilities within regional management teams, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous improvement mindset.
