Compensation range: $133,000 - $152,000 Annually Location: Seattle, WA Full time employee Benefits: 15 days of PTO Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance 401k + Employer Match Wellness App with reimbursement of up to $500/year Position Summary Position Overview The Senior Director of Operations, Western Region is a senior executive accountable for the full operational and financial performance of all Porter Hospitality locations across the Western Region. This role carries ultimate ownership of regional P&L, provides strategic leadership across all operations management teams, and ensures disciplined, consistent execution of Porter's standards, systems, and guest experience at scale. While location-level leaders are responsible for day-to-day execution, the Senior Director retains executive accountability for regional performance, organizational development, and business outcomes. This leader serves as the single point of accountability for the Western Region business within the broader Porter Hospitality organization. Requirements

  • Executive-level communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across internal teams, external partners, vendors, and guests
  • High degree of professionalism, executive presence, and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential matters
  • Highly self-directed with sound judgment and the ability to lead decisively in ambiguous or high-pressure environments
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to rapidly shifting business conditions, and deliver results against aggressive timelines
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance big-picture vision with operational detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to quickly adopt and leverage proprietary systems and reporting platforms
  • Deep multi-unit operations experience with demonstrated full P&L ownership at scale
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and scale teams and systems in high-growth environments
  • Strong leadership presence with a bias toward accountability, action, and developing others
  • 12–18 years of progressive hospitality operations experience, with at least 5–7 years in a senior multi-unit or regional leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated track record of leading complex, multi-site operations at a senior or executive level
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field required

Responsibilities

  • Executive ownership of regional P&L performance across all Western Region locations
  • Ultimate accountability for the performance, output, and development of all operations management teams
  • Strategic oversight of operational execution, financial discipline, and brand standards
  • Leadership of regional organizational structure, talent strategy, and performance management
  • Executive sponsorship of new location transitions from development through stabilized operations
  • Own and deliver regional revenue, margin, and profitability targets in alignment with company growth objectives
  • Provide executive oversight of budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning across all locations
  • Proactively identify and act on performance gaps, cost inefficiencies, and strategic growth opportunities
  • Enforce disciplined management of labor, cost of goods, and operating expenses across the portfolio
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing operations management organization across the Western Region
  • Establish clear performance expectations aligned with Porter's operating model and strategic priorities
  • Hold operations leaders accountable for consistent execution across all functional areas
  • Serve as a primary coach and developer of the next generation of senior operators within the organization
  • Engage directly to stabilize, reset, or elevate underperforming locations when necessary
  • Drive alignment and consistency across food & beverage, retail, wellness, and experience programming
  • Champion the implementation and ongoing refinement of operational systems as the business scales
  • Serve as the executive operations partner to Concept, Build, and Design leadership on all new Western Region developments
  • Lead regional readiness strategy, senior staffing, and operational stabilization for all new openings
  • Assume full executive accountability for each property following handoff from development leadership
  • Recruit and install location-level leadership teams for each new property, ensuring alignment with Porter's culture and operating standards
  • Architect a scalable leadership structure capable of supporting the Western Region's continued growth
  • Ensure appropriate staffing models, resource allocation, and organizational design across the portfolio
  • Build and maintain a leadership bench with the depth to support new markets and future expansion
  • Provide direct executive leadership to culinary leadership across the region; culinary teams report through this role and are accountable for execution across all locations
  • Serve as the senior operational voice for the Western Region within the Porter Hospitality executive leadership structure
  • Partner with Concept, Build, and Design on strategic growth projects and operational readiness
  • Collaborate with Culinary Leadership on menu strategy, systems, and regional execution
  • Align with Finance on performance reporting, forecasting, and accountability frameworks
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing on revenue strategy, programming, and tenant and guest engagement initiatives
