About The Position

Snell & Wilmer has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Administrator to serve as the Senior Director of Office Administration for our Las Vegas and Reno offices. This position will be based in Las Vegas and will require regular travel to the Reno office. You will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and maintain a collaborative reporting relationship with the Office Managing Partners in both offices. In this role, you will have direct oversight of all administrative staff and business operations across both locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading administrative services in a law firm or other professional services environment, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and complex office operations across multiple locations preferred
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis
  • Knowledge of Human Resources practices and employment laws
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence attorneys and senior leadership
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, drive change, and execute at both strategic and operational levels

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of the firm’s Central Records Department, ensuring the accurate management, retention, and disposition of physical and electronic records in compliance with firm policies, client requirements, and legal/regulatory standards
  • Support business continuity and risk management planning for office operations, including emergency preparedness and response coordination
  • Act as a culture carrier for the offices, reinforcing firm values and fostering a collaborative, client-service-oriented environment
  • Lead firmwide initiatives and change management efforts related to new processes, systems, or organizational initiatives to ensure successful adoption
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all office administrative operations across Las Vegas and Reno, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with firm objectives
  • Direct, develop, and oversee administrative teams and support functions, including Legal Administrative Assistants, Legal Support Clerks, Word Processing, Reception, and Hospitality; foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement, including performance management and compensation recommendations
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient administration of all office functions, including daily management of administrative staff and coordination with firm leadership to support firmwide departments such as IT, Marketing, and other shared services
  • Partner closely with Office Managing Partners and firm leadership on operational strategy, financial performance, office planning, and the execution of firmwide initiatives
  • Serve as an active member of the firm’s administrative leadership team; participate in monthly coordination meetings and quarterly Directors’ meetings to support firmwide collaboration and goals
  • Collaborate with HR on recruiting, onboarding, and training of administrative staff; assess training needs and align with firmwide best practices
  • Manage onboarding logistics and administrative support for attorneys, paraprofessionals, and staff, including office space, technology access, parking, furniture, and related needs
  • Analyze performance metrics and drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, profitability, and client service
  • Oversee facilities management, vendor relationships, office services, and purchasing to ensure a high-quality and cost-effective workplace environment
  • Lead planning and execution of office events and engagement activities in Las Vegas, with coordination support for Reno as needed
  • Work in conjunction with firm leadership, including the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Operating Officer, on strategic initiatives and operational improvements
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and all applicable employment laws
