About The Position

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Compliance - Sustain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Evaluate area of responsibility for compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Identify best practices as well as deficiencies to share with peers and make recommendations for improvement. Participate in the development of corrective action plans to guide needed and sustainable improvements. Ensure that compliance and readiness plans are current. Enhance relationships to promote interdisciplinary involvement and knowledge of compliance standards, status, and actions. Track laws, regulations and standards that may affect practice and policies. Work with direct reports to insure that needed changes are made by the effective date of any change(s) in requirements. Strategic Planning/Management - Partner with the AVP, VP or associated Area Administrator in leading the integration of the Medical Center's vision, mission and strategic plan into all aspects of the Departments' culture by developing, implementing and assessing long and short term strategies, goals and objectives. provide leadership, development, mentoring and support to the positions' reporting Departments to develop and implement the strategic and operational plans that are aligned with the Medical Center's strategic plan and are focused on the growth and development of the various programs in each Department. Performance Management - Direct the development and monitoring of an effective staffing and retention strategy, including hiring and terminating employees, workforce planning, succession planning; attracting and retaining top performers, partnering with leadership and Human Resources to develop effective and appropriate recruitment packages, and effective on-boarding programs for staff; effective performance management of direct reports; in partnership with leadership, provide mentoring and development to faculty and other leaders in effective performance management; mentor and provide learning and development opportunities for direct reports and others in business roles; effectively and appropriately leveraging human resources business partners to meet the division's talent management goals; ultimate responsibility for supporting organizational programs/plans that impact employees and ensuring communication, comprehension, and adherence to all Human Resources policies and related legal and/or compliance requirements. Operational Management - Collaborate with departmental and organizational leadership on long-term and short-term planning. Supports the strategic priorities through targeted, innovative and responsive solutions. Serves as an organizational advocate and partner with business leaders. Acts together with management as a champion for positive organizational culture and quality of work life. Credentialing/Privileging/Enrollment - Directly responsible for the medicolegal aspects of the organized medical staff as it relates to credentialing and privileging, governance. Ensures systems accuracy to provide timely, accurate and efficient provider information and approval of the Board of Trustees to meet the strategic goals of the organization. Oversees the direction and implementation of required regulatory standards between medical staff leadership, department leadership, division leadership. Directly responsible to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, state and federal laws, Medical Staff Bylaws and CCHMC policies relating to credentialing/privileging and contractual enrollment of providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist & Certified Professional Medical Services Management
