About The Position

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Director of Manufacturing for a leading global CDMO located in Durham, North Carolina (NC). The Sr. Director of Manufacturing will be responsible for overseeing large-scale GMP manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving operational excellence across multiple production lines. This is a hybrid position in Durham, NC.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biologics manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong background and knowledge of aseptic processing, biologics, or sterile drug product manufacturing.
• Proven track record in managing large teams and complex manufacturing operations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a CDMO environment highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all GMP manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and global regulatory standards across all processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality.
• Partner with Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to achieve production and client goals.
• Mentor and develop manufacturing leadership teams, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
• Oversee technology transfer, scale-up, and validation for new products and processes.
• Monitor KPIs and deliver performance reports to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
