About The Position

The Senior Director of FP&A is a key business partner to the executive team and private equity sponsors, responsible for driving financial visibility, operating discipline, and value creation. This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and analytical support to inform strategic and operational decisions in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with strategic thinking, executive communication skills, and a hands-on approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 8–12+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or investment-backed environments
  • Proven experience operating in a PE-backed business
  • Demonstrated experience working with disparate systems and a proven track record of rationalizing and integrating them
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Strong executive communication skills; experience presenting to boards and sponsors
  • High proficiency in Excel, Adaptive, Tableau, tech-savvy; experience with ERP and BI tools preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve the FP&A function, building a team that delivers timely insight, foresight, and decision support rather than static reporting
  • Own the annual budget, rolling 12-month forecast, and long-range plan processes, ensuring they are operationally grounded and driver-based
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, compensation strategy, investments, and scenario analysis
  • Partner with functional leaders to translate operating plans into measurable financial outcomes
  • Prepare executive-level reporting, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and the Board
  • Lead preparation of monthly management reporting pack of financial reporting and operational metrics, analyze fluctuations, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to drive enterprise value
  • Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and reporting efficiency
  • Oversee key metrics, KPIs, and performance management frameworks
  • Support capital allocation decisions, ROI analysis, and cost management initiatives
  • Drive scalable standardization and rigor in forecasting methodologies, assumptions, and reporting cadence
  • Lead, mentor, and develop FP&A team members with a strong commercial orientation; foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture
