What You’ll Do: The Senior Director of Facilities provides strategic leadership and oversight for all facility-related operations, maintenance, capital projects, and real estate management. You will ensure our buildings and equipment are safe, functional, and aligned with long-term organizational goals. You’ll collaborate with executive leadership, internal teams, and external partners to deliver cost-effective, high-quality facilities that support Evansville Goodwill’s growth and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Real Estate, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in multi-site facilities management and real estate leasing; leadership experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA compliance, lease negotiation, and construction processes.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, multiple priorities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to executives and external partners.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, eligibility for company insurance, and willingness to travel extensively across the EGI territory.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategy: Provide vision and guidance for the facilities team, aligning resources and plans with organizational goals while fostering collaboration and developing future leaders.
  • Vendor & Contract Oversight: Manage and negotiate vendor contracts to guarantee quality, safety, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Real Estate & Leasing: Oversee the organization’s property portfolio, including leases, renewals, evaluations, and landlord or developer interactions.
  • Capital Projects & Renovations: Lead the planning, budgeting, execution, and closeout of construction, renovation, and site improvement projects in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Facilities Management & Maintenance: Ensure all facilities operate safely and efficiently through preventive and corrective maintenance, code compliance, and energy efficiency initiatives in partnership with the Director of Maintenance.
