About The Position

Morrison Center is seeking a Senior Director of Education & Clinical Integration to be based Onsite in Scarborough, Maine. This position functions as a key member of the executive leadership team and works in close partnership with the COO and educational leadership to ensure operational excellence, fiscal responsibility, and program innovation. The Senior Director provides direct supervision to educational and clinical leadership, ensures regulatory compliance (including special education and MaineCare billing), oversees staff development systems, and maintains high standards of ethical, legally compliant, and evidence-based practice across the organization.

Requirements

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role within a school, residential, or pediatric setting.
  • Strong knowledge of special education systems, behavior support planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Knowledge of Maine special education regulations and MaineCare requirements.
  • Proven experience in program development and systems-building
  • Experience integrating ABA-informed practices within educational environments.
  • Experience in a special purpose private school.
  • Demonstrated understanding of regulatory compliance and billing systems (including MaineCare).
  • Experience supervising clinical and/or educational staff.
  • Hold or be eligible for Maine Department of Education 030 or 035 Certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide unified leadership across educational and clinical departments to ensure cohesive programming, shared expectations, and high‑quality K–12 operations.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements, including special education laws, DOE standards, and MaineCare billing regulations.
  • Oversee program documentation and quality systems, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and readiness for audits, monitoring visits, and regulatory reviews.
  • Direct curriculum oversight and continuous improvement efforts, including student achievement monitoring, IEP process accountability, and alignment with state standards.
  • Provide senior-level clinical leadership for ABA‑informed and interdisciplinary services, ensuring fidelity of evidence‑based practices and high‑quality treatment delivery.
  • Supervise assessment systems and ensure fidelity of data collection, progress monitoring, and evaluation processes that inform educational and clinical decision‑making.
  • Lead and support staff development through supervision, coaching, training, recruitment, onboarding, and implementation‑fidelity systems across educational and clinical teams.
  • Strengthen communication and collaboration through structured leadership meetings, interdisciplinary coordination, and effective resolution of staff or program concerns.
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, SAUs, and community partners, supporting referrals, intakes, census coordination, and overall program integration.
