About The Position

Reporting to the VP, Integrated Marketing, your mission will be to define and lead an always-on community management and digital content strategy that strengthens player engagement, advocacy, and loyalty across all Core titles. You will oversee the development of cohesive content ecosystems and community programs that support our brands year-round—beyond launch campaigns—building enduring relationships with players and creators worldwide. The role will be based out of our Novato, CA or Culver City, CA offices, with occasional travel to our partners and global offices to foster close collaboration with local teams.

Requirements

  • Integrated Marketing Expertise: An in-depth understanding of community management, social media platforms (established and emerging), proven audience sentiment and growth tactics, and a track record of creative and relatable storytelling through content. You can identify and capitalize on new global brand opportunities across social, community and influencers.
  • Creator & Influencer Acumen: Experience working closely with influencers, either directly or in partnership with central teams, to identify key talent and develop impactful activation strategies throughout the game lifecycle.
  • Analytical Prowess: A strong ability to establish KPIs and analyze data, measuring performance against KPIs, and translating insights into actionable recommendations for ongoing and future channel or general campaign optimization.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: The ability to effectively influence and collaborate within a matrix organization, across departments, and with international teams.
  • Proven People Leadership: Experience providing strong direction and leadership to diverse teams, fostering trust and credibility with direct reports and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Video Game Savvy: Extensive knowledge of video games culture, particularly core games and the audiences that engage with them.

Responsibilities

  • Lead The Content Strategy, Community, and Social Teams: Lead and develop cohesive content strategies, which includes guiding the digital content, social, community, and creator marketing leads, working as one holistic team within Integrated Marketing and in partnership with the Brand leadership of our four Franchise Groups.
  • Represent the Voice of the Player: Foster deep relationships between our players and our franchises, increasing understanding of player needs across the business unit to influence current and future product and marketing roadmaps. Develop and implement platform-specific global social, community, and creator strategies to increase our presence across social channels, increase cultural relevance for our franchises, and promote positive sentiment and growth for our player communities.
  • Player-First Approach: Partner closely with Player Insights and Data Analytics to map platform strategies to specific audience segments, ensuring content resonates and drives engagement. Develop and implement platform-specific global social media strategies that elevate our brands and foster a thriving community.
  • Growth & Engagement Focus: Define clear growth and engagement goals for each platform, meticulously tracking progress throughout campaigns as well as for evergreen community health. Proactively identify emerging trends and platforms to keep our titles at the forefront of digital engagement.
  • Platform Mastery: Lead our presence across key social platforms including Steam, Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitch, Discord, Reddit, and YouTube.
  • Content Innovation: Establish, manage and optimize the global content development calendar, prioritizing the creation of platform-exclusive content across various formats to achieve business objectives and ROI. Educate the broader organization on the value and commercial application of social marketing within the overall marketing funnel.
  • Data-Driven Decisions and Impactful Reporting: Own the data and analytics management and reporting process across all social platforms, leveraging insights to inform strategic decision-making, identify optimization opportunities, and drive continuous improvement through testing and learning.
  • Organic & Paid Synergy: Partner with go-to-market and media teams to develop cohesive organic and paid media strategies across all digital platforms
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with Brand, Go-to-Market, Product, and Creative teams to develop and test innovative platform features and products aligned with the global strategy.
  • Team leadership: Develop and scale your team of community managers, social media experts, platform specialists and copywriters supporting them in their career development. As a key leader on the Integrated Marketing team, contribute to the overall development of Integrated Marketing strategies and capabilities across 2K and Core.
