About The Position

Morrison Center is seeking a Senior Director of Clinical Services to be based Onsite in Scarborough, Maine. Reporting to the Chief Program Officer (CPO), this position provides strategic and operational leadership across the organization’s clinical and therapeutic service lines. This leader will oversee clinical program development, supervision, regulatory compliance, operational performance, and team engagement, ensuring programs are delivered efficiently, sustainably, and in alignment with the organization’s mission, values and ethical code.

Requirements

  • Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); or a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC); or a Licensed Psychologist
  • Minimum of five (3) years of progressive leadership experience in clinical program management, behavioral health, human services, or nonprofit healthcare settings
  • Experience as part of a leadership team strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in program development, regulatory oversight, and multidisciplinary team leadership
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and other public funding mechanisms
  • Experience with accreditation standards and quality improvement frameworks
  • Familiarity with community-based service delivery models
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to travel between program sites as needed

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CPO and senior leadership to shape and execute clinical program strategy aligned with organizational mission and growth.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all clinical programs, ensuring excellence in service delivery, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of new and existing clinical initiatives, using data-driven metrics and continuous improvement.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support clinical program leaders and staff, fostering strong ethical practice, engagement, and retention.
  • Oversee risk management and promote a culture of safety, accountability, and high‐quality, person-centered care.
  • Develop and manage program budgets in partnership with finance leadership, monitoring financial performance and sustainability.
  • Cultivate community partnerships, support grant development, and represent the organization in professional and stakeholder settings.
  • Advance equitable access to services across communities and champion initiatives that improve client outcomes and satisfaction.
