About The Position

The Senior Director of Banquet Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of all banquet and event service operations at Hotel Drover, while also supporting and guiding banquet operations across affiliated venues within the Fort Worth Stockyards, including Stockyards Station and on-site beer booth operations. This role ensures exceptional execution of all events, drives financial performance, and maintains brand consistency, with a primary focus on Hotel Drover. The Senior Director partners cross-functionally to deliver seamless guest experiences while fostering a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with standards and Hotel Drover’s commitment to legendary hospitality.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience overseeing multi-unit or multi-venue banquet or event operations.
  • Background in luxury, lifestyle, or full-service hotel environments.
  • Strong knowledge of banquet service standards, large-scale event execution, and outdoor activation- based service (e.g., beer booths or festivals).
  • Demonstrated success in driving guest satisfaction, team engagement, and operational excellence across multiple outlets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for all banquet operations at Hotel Drover, ensuring exceptional execution of meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events.
  • Maintain primary operational focus on Hotel Drover while providing oversight, guidance, and support for banquet operations at Stockyards Station and beer booth activations within the Fort Worth Stockyards.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Event Services, Culinary, Stewarding, Engineering, and Housekeeping teams to ensure seamless execution across all venues.
  • Ensure banquet service standards, presentation, and guest engagement consistently meet or exceed brand expectations across all areas of responsibility.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, labor models, and service standards that drive efficiency, consistency, and profitability.
  • Oversee labor management, scheduling strategies, and staffing levels across multiple outlets to align with business demands and financial goals.
  • Establish, monitor, and analyze departmental KPIs, budgets, and financial performance metrics.
  • Provide leadership support and operational guidance to satellite banquet and event teams, ensuring alignment with Hotel Drover standards.
  • Oversee setup, service, and breakdown of all banquet events, ensuring readiness, flow, and execution excellence.
  • Ensure all banquet equipment, furniture, and service ware across venues are maintained, inventoried, and utilized effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance guest experiences, increase revenue, and improve operational efficiencies across all outlets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, clients, and internal stakeholders to drive repeat business and brand loyalty.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop banquet leadership teams, promoting a culture of accountability, engagement, and service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, emergency procedures, and operational policies across all locations.
