With a strong focus on operational excellence, innovation, and sustainability, Jabil partners with some of the world’s most respected brands to bring complex products to market at scale. The Role Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Senior Director of Operations will have full operational accountability for Jabil’s Florence, KY manufacturing site, supporting high-volume, medium-mix production within the fast-growing data center business. This leader will oversee end-to-end site operations, including manufacturing, quality, safety, engineering partnership, and supply chain execution, while leading a large, diverse workforce. The Senior Director will be responsible for delivering operational excellence across all areas of the site—driving performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement. This role requires a hands-on leader who can translate strategy into execution, scale capacity in response to customer demand, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This leader will partner closely with business unit leadership, supply chain, engineering, and key customer stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and alignment. With a strong on-site presence, the Senior Director will remove barriers, empower leaders at all levels, and ensure the Florence site consistently meets and exceeds customer expectations. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a seasoned manufacturing leader with deep experience running complex, high-volume operations. They bring a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a proven ability to lead large teams, drive operational excellence, and deliver results in fast-paced, customer-driven environments. This leader is collaborative, resilient, and decisive—comfortable navigating ambiguity while maintaining focus on performance and people. They are highly customer-oriented, data-driven, and skilled at aligning site operations with broader business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or related field required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience leading site-level manufacturing operations within electronics or complex industrial manufacturing environments.
  • At least 4+ years of direct people management experience, including leading and developing managers and senior leaders.
  • Deep understanding of high-volume production, systems integration, and operational scaling.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen, with experience managing site budgets and cost structures.
  • Demonstrated success implementing lean, Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams and develop strong leadership benches.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full leadership and accountability for all manufacturing operations at the Florence, KY site.
  • Drive execution of production plans while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Scale operational capacity and capability to support business growth and evolving customer requirements.
  • Champion best-in-class safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency, yield, and throughput while reducing waste.
  • Own site-level operational metrics and performance reviews, driving corrective actions as needed.
  • Serve as a key operational partner to customers, ensuring strong communication, reliability, and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, engineering, finance, and program teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks to maintain business continuity and customer confidence.
  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team and engaged workforce.
  • Create a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous development.
  • Lead with transparency, consistency, and trust—encouraging collaboration and ownership at all levels of the organization.
