About The Position

As a Sr. Media Director at 160over90, you will play a critical leadership role focused on operational excellence, business development, and sustainable growth across our Paid Media offering. Operating within a fully integrated, channel‑neutral environment, this role plays a leading role in unlocking new revenue, expanding existing client relationships, and improving profitability through rigor, process, and scale. This role partners closely with senior agency leadership to strengthen how Paid Media is sold, delivered, and measured—helping transform media from a service line into a growth engine for the agency. You will oversee media operations, guide talent development, and proactively identify opportunities for organic growth, cross‑sell, and new business through strong client relationships, external networking, and disciplined operational leadership. The Sr. Media Director supports the broader Media Services team across Paid Media Strategy, Planning, Buying, and Data & Analytics, while also helping standardize best practices, improve financial stewardship, and ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery across the 160over90 organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of paid media experience within an agency environment, with demonstrated responsibility for operational leadership, business growth, or financial oversight.
  • 3+ years in a senior leadership role, managing teams and accountable for performance, delivery, and profitability.
  • Proven ability to understand client business models and translate them into paid media strategies that drive measurable growth.
  • Strong operational mindset, with experience building or improving processes, frameworks, and ways of working.
  • Demonstrated success identifying organic growth opportunities and expanding client scopes through trust, insight, and results.
  • Ability to coach and develop talent, setting clear expectations and raising the commercial and strategic acumen of teams.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with confidence engaging senior clients and internal leadership.
  • Strong problem‑solving proficiency, with comfort navigating ambiguity, complexity, and competing priorities.

  • Financially disciplined leader with experience managing P&L inputs, staffing models, scopes of work, and margin improvement.
  • Experience working across complex, integrated accounts where media is part of a broader marketing ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Growth Identify and unlock organic growth opportunities across existing client relationships, including scope expansion, cross‑selling, and new paid media use cases. Partner with senior leadership and Client Service teams to support new business efforts, including prospecting, proposal development, pricing input, and pitch participation. Build and maintain a strong external network across clients, partners, and industry peers to generate inbound opportunities and elevate 160over90’s paid media reputation.
  • Operational Leadership & Financial Rigor Own operational oversight of the Paid Media function, ensuring consistent processes, delivery standards, and financial discipline across accounts. Drive profitability through staffing models, scope management, investment optimization, and performance accountability. Establish and evolve frameworks, workflows, and governance that improve efficiency, scalability, and quality of output.
  • Media Strategy & Investment Oversight Provide senior‑level oversight for integrated, high‑value paid media strategies aligned to client business objectives and performance outcomes. Oversee large, complex media budgets, ensuring investments are optimized across channels and aligned with both client and agency goals. Act as a senior escalation point for strategic, financial, or performance challenges.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Building Lead, mentor, and develop media leaders and teams, fostering a culture of accountability, commercial thinking, and continuous improvement. Build media talent capable of not only executing campaigns, but understanding client businesses and identifying growth opportunities. Champion best practices, training, and operational standards that elevate Paid Media’s impact across the agency.
  • Innovation & Market Leadership Stay ahead of industry, ad tech, and analytics trends, with a focus on practical application that improves performance, efficiency, and insight. Guide the adoption of new tools, platforms, and AI‑enabled capabilities that strengthen decision‑making and scalability.
