The Senior Director, Marketing Strategy is a critical leader in the North America Marketing organization, responsible for crafting the regional marketing strategy end-to-end—from business insight, problem definition, and job to be done, through audience definition and segmentation, strategic positioning, and cross-functional strategy development with NAM teams. The role reports to the VP, Marketing Strategy, Insights & Analytics and partners closely across US Consumer, Canada, Media, Marketing Services, and B2B to ensure strategy coherence and execution against Visa’s growth goals. Essential Functions Strategy Development & Orchestration: Lead structured strategy process, synthesize insights, define problems, audience segmentation, positioning, and translate into strategic choices and roadmaps. Insights, Segmentation & Positioning: Partner with Insights & Analytics to define learning agenda, triangulate insights, and form actionable segmentation and positioning. Industry & Competitive Intelligence: Maintain industry scan of trends and competitor strategies, translate signals into implications for Visa’s marketing strategy. Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with NAM VPs and integrate work with Product, Sales, and Global Marketing counterparts. Outcomes, Finance & Performance Management: Map strategy to business outcomes, connect to OKRs/KPIs, and create executive-ready updates. Ways of Working & Enablement: Codify strategy operating system and coach teams on modern practices. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
