About The Position

The Senior Major Events Director is a high-impact, strategic role responsible for shaping and executing Delinea’s global event strategy across major industry events and key internal programs, including launching and scaling Delinea's inaugural customer conference into a must-attend event in the identity security industry. This leader will elevate our brand presence, accelerate pipeline, strengthen customer engagement, and deliver high-value experiences that reinforce Delinea’s position as the leader in modern identity security. This role requires an exceptional operator with strong creative instincts, deep event-marketing expertise, and demonstrated experience running successful customer and user conferences at scale, as well as building and leading high-performing teams and partners, from vision and production to attendee engagement and post-event impact. The conference must evolve into a flagship customer experience and a strategic growth engine for the business. You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Executive teams, owning the full event lifecycle for all programs. From strategy through execution, measurement, and continuous improvement, you will drive events that deliver measurable outcomes and strengthen Delinea’s leadership.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of event marketing and production experience, preferably in cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise technology.
  • Proven success leading large-scale conferences, trade show programs, and executive-level events.
  • Experience launching and executing customer and/or user conferences, including agenda design, executive engagement, customer programming, end-to-end logistical execution, and post-event impact measurement.
  • Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to translate business goals into event experiences that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Exceptional project management, multitasking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets and negotiating with vendors and agencies.
  • Creative mindset with a strong understanding of brand, storytelling, and experiential design.
  • Willingness to travel regularly (35–45%).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own Delinea’s comprehensive global events strategy, supporting brand awareness, demand generation, customer retention, and thought leadership.
  • Lead end-to-end event production, including content, creative, logistics, vendors, budgets, staffing, and post-event reporting for: Industry events: trade shows, conferences, analyst events.
  • Internal events: Sales Kickoffs, company events (All Hands, Town Halls), Presidents Club.
  • Delinea’s customer conference: Delinea’s customer conference, along with regional roadshow extensions.
  • Align event strategies to overall marketing goals, KPIs and business priorities, supporting pipeline creation, bookings, customer expansion, and market leadership.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and regional Marketing teams to create compelling, differentiated experiences at major events.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to maximize customer participation, advocacy, and community development.
  • Own the strategy and execution of Delinea’s inaugural customer conference, shaping it into a premier customer and brand experience that drives engagement, accelerates pipeline, strengthens retention, and elevates market perception.
  • Create high-impact internal events that inspire, align, and mobilize the company.
  • Drive innovation in event formats, technologies, and engagement tactics to elevate Delinea’s impact.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing events team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development to support long-term scale and impact.
  • Manage and direct agency and vendor partners, ensuring strong collaboration, clear accountability, cost-effective execution, and consistently high standards across all events.
  • Ensure consistent brand expression across all events and leverage them to strengthen market presence, elevate brand reputation, and drive broader message alignment.
  • Establish clear KPIs for each event, including pipeline contribution, customer engagement metrics, brand impact, and ROI.
  • Build scalable processes that improve predictability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Own event budgets end-to-end, including forecasting, spend management, and executive-level reporting on ROI, pipeline impact, and cost efficiency
