The Senior Director of Internal Communications leads the development and execution of global internal communications and employee engagement strategies that build understanding, trust, and alignment with Crane NXT's business strategy, culture, and values. This role supports over 4,000 employees across diverse geographies and functions, driving change management, executive messaging, and storytelling through multiple channels. The role partners closely with senior leaders and a network of communications leads to elevate the employee experience and communications maturity across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, with a strong focus on internal communications in a global environment.
  • Proven experience in change communications and acquisition integration.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong executive presence and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships across functions and influence at all levels.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools, including Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office (Teams, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong project and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and creative in approach.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute internal communications strategies that align employees with Crane NXT's vision, priorities, and culture.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, including C-level executives, providing counsel and executive communications support.
  • Lead communications for acquisition integrations, ensuring clarity, consistency, and cultural alignment during transitions.
  • Drive change communications and support annual HR processes (e.g., benefits enrollment, performance cycles).
  • Plan and manage communication cadence, content, and channels for enterprise-wide messaging, including CEO and executive communications.
  • Partner with business units to integrate corporate messaging into local communications frameworks.
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives, connecting leadership with employees through storytelling and interactive formats.
  • Represent and amplify the employee voice in messaging and content development.
  • Lead planning and communications for the annual leadership conference.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations to align internal and external messaging.
  • Manage internal platforms (e.g., intranet, newsletters) and oversee third-party vendors and budgets.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all internal content and campaigns.
