About The Position

The Information Technology Group (ITG) is a collection of people, processes and technology investments that are designed to achieve the business goals of FTI Consulting. The Senior Director, Implementation and Deployment establishes the global vision and strategy for the implementation and adoption of IT solutions. The individual provides technical and managerial oversight to multiple projects and initiatives, fosters a productive work culture, evaluates and manages budgets, and successfully delivers the goals and objectives for assigned project, people and initiatives. The position requires partnership with FTI leadership and our clients to deliver managed risk, cost effective and supportable solutions that allow FTI to maintain a competitive advantage over our competition. Working with the Enterprise Architecture program, helps develop global technology standards for repeatable deployment. The position provides the programmatic oversight for successful implementation and adoption of IT services. They are responsible for taking approved designs and managing them through the full scope of deployment. They develop appropriate testing and pilot programs to ensure appropriate feedback necessary for successful deployment. The position works closely with Enterprise Architecture to provide feedback on designs and maintain appropriate design documentation throughout the lifecycle. In addition, they work closely with global IT Operations to ensure appropriate training and documentation are created for the ongoing support of deployed solutions.

Requirements

  • Four Year College Degree in Information Systems or related field
  • IT or Managerial Certifications a plus
  • 10 Years of progressive technical and technical management experience
  • 10 Years of managerial experience
  • 2 years as a Director
  • 2 High Level Technical Certifications
  • 2 High Level Core Certifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all information systems technology disciplines.
  • Experience with developing new technology business offerings.
  • Ability to effectively and formally communicate and coordinate across a variety of personnel levels
  • Experience in developing and maintaining both the revenue and expense side of corporate and business line budgets.
  • Strong Project Management Experience and industry experience in managing large, complex IT projects
  • Strong business and technical process design and documentation skills
  • Possesses a high level of technical/functional expertise and knowledge.
  • Industry expertise of best practices, standards, and technology.

Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Director, the position is expected to serve as a resource assisting and advising various FTI organizations upon request, providing consultations on specific projects, and assisting in the resolution of technical problems. The scope extends to corporate and business segments within FTI with a focus on developing and/or advising on IT solutions for FTI and its clients.
  • Frequent and ongoing interactions with FTI business leaders to develop IT strategy, architecture and engineering solutions that support business development opportunities.
  • Plans and reviews hardware and software acquisitions, including facilities, for ITG to assure they are consistent with and supportive of the business vision and mission of FTI.
  • Communicates and collaborates with the head of Enterprise Architecture to develop an IT vision that matches FTI's overall Business Vision.
  • Develops detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, and appropriate resource planning models to ensure that work is tracked, measured and monitored.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining implementation and configuration standards in line with the overall Enterprise Architecture program. This includes developing programmatic methods for assessment of the global architecture, state of deployment and makes recommendations for improvement and modifications.
  • Directs the design, development and maintenance of systems, programs, and software to meet the needs of the FTI and our clients, including both corporate and client Internet based systems.
  • Supervises and guides teams of engineers and architects in project priority setting, technology vision, tactical implementation and resource allocation. In addition, ensure FTI's IT policies and procedures are implemented, tracked and reported on a regular basis.
  • Provides guidance to implementation and deployment group members. Helps define and communicate the architecture, operational health, management, and monitoring of IT systems and solutions.
  • Leads and directs projects including the service delivery components with strategy and issue resolution as required.
  • Develops strategic relationships with key clients and vendors for the success of ITG and the Enterprise Architecture program.
  • Manage key issue resolution with practitioners and clients.
  • Directs business leaders, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to drive cooperation and resolve problems.
  • Manages and monitors staff performance and provides feedback, recognition, and coaching, as well as providing ongoing staff development and training.
  • Responsible for ensuring that projects and team members adhere to ITG's project management methodology; including accountability and taking initiative.
  • Manage the overall capabilities and operating framework (structure, people, and project delivery processes), articulating the architecture, implementation and project management processes and frameworks.
  • Responsible for high level and formal communication of projects, activities, and issues.
  • Assists in developing and projecting requirements, scope, and analyzing the cost vs. benefit of solutions.
  • Understands and keeps abreast of emerging technologies, their value to FTI, and how they affect the business
  • Plans and designs all ITG service infrastructures to meet or exceed all SLAs and global standards.
  • Administers, controls and contributes to the ITG budget and other IT related business segment budgets to strategically and effectively spend.
  • Manages, reports and measures on all project and department budgets.
  • Manages a number of outside service providers and major contracts/
