Are you a seasoned strategy leader with a proven track record in shaping enterprise-level initiatives, ideally gained through broad experience at a top-tier management consulting firm? As the Senior Director, Corporate Strategy & Transformation, you will bring exceptional executive presence and the ability to influence senior leadership decisions to be responsible for enabling enterprise-wide transformation through centralized program tracking, reporting, and risk escalation. You will support the Transformation Lead in delivering business-critical objectives, ensuring accurate executive visibility, and integrating inputs across workstreams. You will bring analytical rigor, communication clarity, and execution discipline in Baxter’s ($10.6B with 38K employees) complex environment. A key focus of this role is optimizing the business to ensure focus and investment of resources on the highest growth priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA strongly preferred
  • 6-10+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Strategy, including significant tenure at a leading management consulting firm (e.g. McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or equivalent); prior transition to industry a plus
  • 8+ years experience in project/program management, transformation leadership, or enterprise PMO
  • Demonstrated success advising/managing C-suite executives and driving large-scale transformation programs
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end transformation reporting cycles, including planning, execution, and post-review synthesis
  • Demonstrated success in supporting high-level governance forums, including Steering Committees and executive reviews, through structured preparation and delivery
  • Ability to lead integration of updates from multiple workstreams into a cohesive portfolio view of transformation progress and risks
  • Familiarity with benefit realization tracking, budget alignment, and delivery milestone monitoring at the enterprise level
  • Adept at identifying reporting risks or gaps and escalating issues for resolution in a timely, structured manner
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines and adapting to evolving reporting requirements from leadership and stakeholders
  • Strong data handling, reporting, and transformation management office toolset knowledge
  • Clear communicator with ability to engage cross-functional teams
  • Experience in enterprise reporting, transformation support, or change initiatives
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
  • Comfort with ambiguity and managing multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize large volumes of transformation data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining dashboards, reporting templates, and governance materials to support executive forums
  • Experience facilitating portfolio-level reporting cycles and version control processes across distributed teams
  • Track record of identifying and implementing improvements to reporting processes and tools based on evolving transformation needs

  • Management Consulting (MBB) experience with medical device and/or pharma industry focus strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Transformation Lead to shape and evolve the overarching transformation vision and roadmap.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clearly defined workstreams, KPIs, and ownership structures.
  • Ensure prioritization of initiatives aligns with enterprise goals
  • Drive synthesis and storytelling across transformation efforts to support executive decision-making and alignment.
  • Partner with senior executives to define long-term strategic priorities and guide multi-year transformation roadmaps.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on high-impact initiatives that shape organizational direction, beyond just operational projects.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of centralized dashboards and reporting tools to track progress, risks, and benefits realization.
  • Integrate and synthesize initiative updates across workstreams into a cohesive portfolio view.
  • Monitor portfolio-level progress across budget, timelines, and delivery milestones; escalate cross-cutting risks and issues as needed.
  • Maintain documentation integrity, version control, and audit readiness across transformation deliverables.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with project managers, workstream leads, and senior leaders.
  • Serve as a liaison between TMO leadership and workstream teams to clarify expectations, align priorities, and elevate risks or resource needs.
  • Facilitate governance forums, including Transformation Steering Committee meetings and executive reviews, to maintain momentum and alignment.
  • Provide strategic support and “SWAT” assistance to senior leaders as needed.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and resistance to transformation initiatives.
  • Synthesize complex data and updates into clear, compelling narratives that drive buy-in and transparency.
  • Continuously improve communication tools, templates, and processes based on feedback and evolving needs.
  • Serve as go-to-partner for workstream teams and leadership in providing project reporting, risk tracking, and decision-making inputs.
