About The Position

Biosimilars promise to deliver quality essential medicines with significant cost savings for health care systems and patients. Pfizer currently has the industry’s broadest portfolio of oncology biosimilars. The competitive environment is crowded, and excess price erosion is a risk. Global and local teams have limited resources and need agile processes to compete for business while retaining profitability. The primary responsibility of the Secondee is to support the global price and access execution for this portfolio. An important part of this assignment is to streamline key processes and optimize organizational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of external stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Masters (MSc, MPH) or Doctoral degree (PhD, Dr PH, ScD) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with MBA/MS or 7 years’ experience with PharmD/PhD, in a combination of Market Access, policy or Health Economics
  • Able to independently engage all levels of stakeholders through a strong customer orientation, strategic thinking, leading change, and building collaborative partnerships in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated ability to assess anticipated value for projects/programs to ensure alignment to business priorities and prioritize accordingly
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects (multitask) involving complex processes, significant budget, competing deadlines and rapidly shifting priorities in a compliant manner
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills are required
  • Ability to travel internationally (25%)
  • This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Oncology Biosimilars Access Matrix Team
  • Review and approve pricing requests for the 3 mAb assets in the Oncology Biosimilars portfolio (Zirabev, Trazimera, Ruxience) with focus on Int’l. Markets and EM
  • Finalize new bid price approval process using GTCS and roll-out to markets; transition mAb products from Category B to Category C
  • Ensure markets have tools and training needed to execute bidding strategies effectively
  • Finalize new price projection algorithms by providing review and input to cross-functional team
  • Develop OP27 bid price guidance and streamline process
  • Seek efficiencies by ensuring key bid related tasks sit with persons who have closest proximity to requisite data and expertise and require minimum number of approvers
  • Provide payer/access insights to support ad hoc analyses relating to market events; scan horizon for upcoming events to facilitate planning
  • Deliver clear recommendations relating to payer/buyer strategy, pricing and reimbursement, evidence generation, data collection and value propositions.
  • Work efficiently and collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment, orchestrating multiple activities to accomplish a goal
  • Achieving the above will require leadership and/or participation in cross functional teams.
  • The position requires close collaboration with colleagues including HVE, commercial, PGS, Pricing Dynamics, Finance, Medical, ICO, and the International Commercial Execution team.
