About The Position

The Senior Director, Facilities, Real Estate & Security Operations is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and management of InnovAge’s physical infrastructure across 25+ sites in 7 states. This role integrates facilities management, real estate development, physical security compliance, and facilities finance to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective environments that support high-quality care delivery in a PACE healthcare setting. Reporting to SVP of Care Support, the Senior Director will lead cross-functional teams and external partners to drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth initiatives aligned with InnovAge’s mission. InnovAge is dedicated to empowering seniors to live independently, allowing them to age in their own homes and communities safely. InnovAge offers an alternative to nursing homes through its Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), which provides enrolled seniors with customized healthcare and social support at PACE Adult Day Health Centers. These centers are staffed by medical professionals who are committed to creating personalized care plans for each participant. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Real Estate, Construction, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in facilities, real estate, or physical security, preferably in healthcare or senior care environments.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities operations, real estate transactions, security systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-site operations, capital projects, and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Facilities Management, Real Estate, Construction, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in healthcare call centers or familiarity with PACE programs.
  • Familiarity with CAD, Corrigo, or other facilities management platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-site facilities operations, maintenance programs, and capital improvement projects.
  • Oversee facility services, vendor relationships, and landlord coordination to ensure optimal building performance.
  • Develop and implement sustainability initiatives and energy tracking programs.
  • Manage facility-related KPIs, work order systems, and compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Direct real estate strategy including site acquisition, lease administration, and portfolio management.
  • Support development activities including site selection, budgeting, and onboarding of new locations.
  • Manage construction contracts, vendor performance, and alignment with operational needs.
  • Ensure timely execution of real estate transactions and legal documentation.
  • Partner with Finance to develop and manage capital and operating budgets for facilities and real estate.
  • Track and analyze spend across maintenance, development, and security operations.
  • Ensure financial accountability and ROI for facilities investments and vendor contracts.
  • Support benchmarking and performance tracking for external service providers.
  • Oversee the enterprise-wide physical security program, including access control, surveillance, and incident response.
  • Lead the Safety & Security Operations Center and contracted guard force operations.
  • Develop and enforce physical security policies, audits, and training programs.
  • Manage workplace violence prevention initiatives and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team including Directors, Managers, Analysts, and external partners.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with Legal, HR, Finance, Operations, and Clinical teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Represent Facilities and Real Estate in strategic planning and executive-level discussions.
