About The Position

The Senior Director, Corporate Facilities & Real Estate is an important leadership role within LS&Co. Reporting directly to the VP, Global Real Estate and Retail Franchise, you will set the strategic direction of Levi Strauss & Co.’s corporate facilities and real estate portfolio worldwide. Based in San Francisco, you will oversee a global team across Facilities Management, Workplace Services, Mail & Freight Operations, and Global Corporate Real Estate Operations / Lease Administration. The role partners with HR, Finance, Security, IT, Corporate Affairs, and regional business leaders to ensure safe, efficient, and scalable workplaces that promote employee productivity and reflect LS&Co.'s culture and brand.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate facilities management or commercial real estate, including global or multi-region oversight.
  • Experience leading large, diverse teams and managing complex, multi-site portfolios.
  • Expertise in facilities operations, workplace services, vendor management, and lease administration processes.
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
  • Experience engaging with C-suite, ability to partner effectively with HR, Finance, Legal, IT, Corporate Affairs and senior executives; excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated track record in driving process improvement, sustainability, and innovation.
  • International experience

Responsibilities

  • Corporate Facilities & Workplace Strategy
  • Build a global corporate facilities and real estate strategy aligned to LS&Co.’s location strategy, priorities and employee experience goals.
  • Ensure all corporate locations provide safe, compliant, well-maintained, and welcoming workplaces for employees and visitors.
  • Partner with HR, Security, IT, and Corporate Affairs on workplace standards, hybrid work enablement, and employee experience programs
  • Partner with the business and HR to understand workforce strategy and address space implications.
  • Develop strategic recommendations for site planning, space utilization, location strategy, and long‑term footprint optimization.
  • Support real estate transactions including renewals, relocations, right‑sizing, and workplace planning initiatives.
  • Lead capital projects across the portfolio including renovations, office expansions, workplace refreshes, and infrastructure investments.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle—from planning and budgeting to design coordination, construction oversight, and project closeout.
  • Serve as the executive point of accountability for project schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communication.
  • Oversee external project teams (architects, engineers, contractors, project managers) and ensure alignment with company needs.
  • Collaborate with Procurement on competitive bids, contract renewals, negotiations, and sourcing strategies.
  • Facilities Operations & Service Delivery
  • Gather feedback and partner with department leaders to continuously improve the workplace environment.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, life safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery of building services including reception, security, janitorial, mailroom, food & beverage, and general workplace support.
  • Establish operating standards, service level expectations, and operational policies to maintain safe, functional, and welcoming environments.
  • Provide executive oversight of day-to-day facilities operations across global corporate offices, ensuring service standards and operational excellence.
  • Lead teams responsible for front-of-house services, conference rooms, office moves, mail & freight operations, vendor management, and building services.
  • Establish KPIs, service-level agreements, and continuous improvement plans across all facilities services.
  • Global Real Estate Operations & Lease Administration
  • Own operating and capital budgets for all facilities and real estate activities.
  • Track expenditures, variances, and financial performance, ensuring fiscal discipline and transparency.
  • Build annual OpEx/CapEx plans and provide clear reporting to executive leadership on spend, projections, and project investment decisions.
  • Oversee global lease administration operations, rent payments, and data governance in partnership with our teams and third-party providers.
  • Ensure standardized processes and reporting across regions, including lease abstraction, rent accuracy, and vendor performance.
  • Partner with Global Real Estate Strategy leadership to ensure operational execution aligns with broader portfolio and investment strategies.
  • Financial & Vendor Management
  • Oversee corporate facilities and workplace operating budgets; ensure disciplined cost management and identification of efficiency opportunities.
  • Lead global vendor strategy across facilities, workplace services, mail & freight, and lease administration partners.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and performance reviews to ensure value and service quality.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on facilities operations, real estate decisions, and capital investment strategy.
  • Develop a globally distributed team of senior facilities, workplace, and real estate operations professionals
  • Establish clear governance, decision rights, and global standards while promoting regional flexibility.
  • Promote talent development, succession planning, and organizational scalability as the portfolio evolves.
