JOB SUMMARY : Produce and direct the creative development and implementation of all assigned projects during all phases through completion. Oversee and manage show teams staff on assigned projects. Responsible for establishing project strategy, budget and funding resources, analyzing and identifying talent needs, establishing project schedules for the Show and communicating all appropriate information to the various business units or divisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Theater, Architecture, or similar Arts Management degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong design, production and management portfolio.
  • Experience in design management, work planning, budgeting, scheduling, bid package preparation and variety of vendors.
  • Knowledge of theme park technologies including ride, A/V, robotics, engineering, and various show systems.
  • Knowledge of theme park related architectural, project management, organizational, and production/construction practices.
  • Demonstrates ability to lead creative and technical teams on multiple complex attraction projects. instill a spirit of teamwork and promote staff development.
  • Makes independent choices free from immediate supervision.
  • Possesses solid aesthetic sensibilities and storytelling skills to support the creative process and to facilitate positive and productive communication between all disciplines.
  • Experience as a senior level producer or creative lead with demonstrated success in theme park, theatrical, media production required.
  • 17 to 20 Years: Experience as a senior level producer or creative lead with demonstrated success in theme park, theatrical, media production preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Master’s degree in (same as BA) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and supports the Show Teams (Associate Producers, Producers and Designers) on assigned projects through design, development and delivery.
  • Oversee day-to-day project development activities, deliverables, budgets, schedules and creative design.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with all internal and external partners on assigned projects and updating the UC leadership team.
  • Develop common and consistent tools and processes for show project team to use on assigned projects.
  • Represents the Creative Studio in the development and management of assigned projects.
  • Represents Creative Studio in senior management updates.
  • Responsible for developing project work plans, strategies, estimates, budgets, schedules, staffing plans and org charts from the development of initial blue sky, through project completion.
  • Responsible for the development of scopes of work, RFPs and for negotiating contracts with Show vendors.
  • Monitor outside consultants for compliance with agreements and budgets.
  • Reviews and approves show vendor contracts, commitments and invoices.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
