Reporting to the Vice President CSS Supply Chain, the Senior Director, End-to-End (E2E) Supply Chain leader for Neurovascular will be accountable for leading the development and execution of the overall Neurovascular Supply Chain strategy and framework, in alignment with the overall business unit and CSS Supply Chain. The E2E Supply Chain leader is expected to lead the Business E2E Supply Chain operational execution to contemporary, best practice manufacturing and supply chain processes and techniques on a global scale, including the integration of acquired entities. This leader will provide practical and intellectual understanding of the global Medical Device industry and its channels. This leader will have a strong combination of strategic vision and a willingness to be hands-on in all aspects of global manufacturing and supply chain operations as appropriate. The E2E SC leader will have global Supply Chain leadership responsibility across multiple manufacturing sites. As a member of the Neurovascular Leadership Team, will work closely with global and regional Marketing and Commercial partners as well as with R&D organization to execute global supply chain strategies. This leadership position will drive strategic, tactical, and operational responses to commercial needs and interface with other global/regional CSS/HMD and JJSC functions as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, sciences or supply chain disciplines required
  • 12+ years of related experience required
  • 10+ years people management experience
  • This general management role requires a diverse business background (preferably with direct experience in multiple Medical Devices and Diagnostics companies) with specific Operations competencies inclusive of product innovation, planning, customer & logistics services, and manufacturing.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility managing large, multi-site, global organizations, with end-to-end supply chain experience.
  • Experience with the global demands of the role specifically: multi-cultural / multi country locations and applicable local labor law, healthcare regulatory requirements, tax law, and logistics.
  • Up to 30% travel domestic & international

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate degree/studies in science, business, engineering, finance or organizational management or equivalent experience strongly preferred
  • Related experience such as manufacturing, distribution, planning, project management, procurement, engineering, and / or R&D
  • Understanding of financial processes such as P&L calculation and COGS
  • Exposure to a global environment in previous roles leading supply chain
  • Strong understanding of the new product introduction process
  • Green Belt Certification, Black Belt / Master Black Belt Certification

Responsibilities

  • Will provide supply chain leadership and serve as a CSS Supply Chain voice in the business unit Leadership Team with accountability for building an integrated Supply Chain strategy while having oversight over all functions including Planning, Product Management, Internal and External Manufacturing, Engineering
  • Will be accountable for the metrics and KPI’s, with focus on Reliability, Innovation, Profitability and Cashflow metrics. Set Performance Targets for both Internal and (aligned with) External Manufacturing Ops to meet GOC & Enterprise goals
  • Establish processes to manage and balance the Supply Chain Portfolio of projects supporting all areas of performance improvement including, Reliability, Capacity, NPI, Profitability, Compliance and SC Digitalization.
  • Develop and Execute Network Optimization strategy to rationalize the facility footprint, get leverage on technology, and significantly improve efficiencies.
  • Develop and communicate an ongoing Supply Chain Plan relative to the Neurovascular Strategy – aligned with key stakeholders and the enterprise supply chain.
  • Engage the workforce with a clear and compelling vision with emphasis on “one global team” focused on the customer.
  • Responsible to balance and drive continuous improvement in Cost, Customer Service & Product Quality. Ensure minimal compliance risk.
  • Responsible for managing capital investments to support Growth and deliver Capital efficiency.
  • Drive continuous cost improvement in Gross Profit and COGS aligned to Business Strategic Plan.
  • Understanding and aligning the strategic vision for the business and communication/deployment of Supply Chain Strategies to enable business growth.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Will drive strong collaboration with the R&D team to ensure successful product launches while driving Design-to-Value programs to contribute to improved GP
