Reporting to the Global Vice President JJ Vision (JJV) Supply Chain, the Surgical Vision Supply Chain Leader is accountable for the end-to-end supply chain. This leader has direct responsibility for Manufacturing (internal and external), as well as indirect responsibility over Planning, Product Management, Sourcing, Quality, Deliver, and is a member of JJV Supply Chain Leadership team. They will contribute broad business and technical understanding to drive strategy development and execution in partnership with Surgical Vision Commercial and Vision SC Leadership and partnering effectively with the broader MedTech and SC organization. They are also expected to provide a practical and intellectual understanding of the global Medical Device industry and its channels. This leader will have a strong combination of strategic vision and a willingness to be hands-on in all aspects of global supply chain operations as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in a complex Supply Chain environment, including in multiple of the following functional areas: production, planning, supply chain, quality is required
  • Advanced understanding of end-to-end supply chain, with advanced financial understanding grounded on strong manufacturing knowledge required
  • Global experience required
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g. GMP, GDP practices...)
  • Track record of influencing the internal environment based on knowledge of external changes - social, political, regulatory and economic issues affecting businesses domestically and globally
  • Ability to articulate a vision, engaging and mobilizing employees around that vision, and delivering superior value
  • Driving long-term, profitable and sustainable growth in multiple functions, businesses, sectors and markets
  • Leading people through organizational uncertainty or key change initiative such as merger, acquisition, divesture, or restructuring
  • Identifying new partnership opportunities, determining optimal relationship conditions/model (licensing, co-promotion, acquisition), and executing these relationships
  • Creating and sustaining a culture of quality and compliance that encourages open communication, reporting noncompliant actions, taking corrective action and holding self/others accountable
  • Exceptional ability to develop and execute end-to-end supply chain strategies while, at the same time, driving for analytical insights and execution
  • Experience in change management and leadership

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing a balanced scorecard to deliver reliable supply of high-quality products to customers and improve customer value
  • Accountable for establishing and communicating a vision and strategies that achieve high service, quality, compliance, operational excellence, project execution and cost effectiveness across all products within the segment
  • Align metrics and KPI’s, including annual targets – to enterprise and benchmark
  • Manage complex P&L and Capital plans
  • Responsible for optimizing the supply chain, cascading segment business strategies and enterprise supply chain strategies and processes to drive growth through efficiencies and performance improvements
  • Assure key strategic plans and resources are effectively delivering value in alignment with commercial, and segment strategies. Examples include: Network Optimization, Design to Value, Value Chain Management, Technology Innovations.
  • Execute and strengthen processes to enable effective portfolio management and drive flawless execution of Lifecycle Management and New Product Launches
  • Drive innovation in support of SC, manufacturability and process development
  • Build strong partnerships with R&D and Commercial in-segment to drive these processes
  • Develop key talent strategies – short and long term – to improve capabilities and diversity/inclusion
  • Coach and develop organizational talent that supports innovation and customer intimacy
  • Build a customer centric mindset in leaders
  • Manage talent across organizational boundaries, both within and outside the supply chain organization; “own” and develop talent jointly with key business stakeholders
