About The Position

This position oversees Emergency Management, Environmental Health and Safety for a large healthcare system. The role involves developing a defensible, sustainable, and scalable Integrated Resiliency Program framework and strategy. It provides programmatic oversight of strategic and operational resiliency initiatives related to business continuity, emergency management, and the environment of care, ensuring integration with Disaster recovery. The Senior Director directs and leads a team to design, deploy, execute, and review operational resiliency processes, including risk assessments, business impact analyses, emergency communication systems, drills and exercises, training and education, regulatory and accreditation requirements, disaster response and recovery, and overall program maintenance. The role also leads the long-term strategic, operational, and planning process, and the development of metrics to ensure enterprise strategies cascade through all operating units, facilitating integration across Sutter Health. Finally, it ensures business continuity, emergency management, and environment of care programs are aligned to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Disaster Management, Environmental Health and Safety, or Public Safety or equivalent education/experience.
CPHRM - Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management.
15 years of recent relevant experience.
Mastery of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint tools.
Ability to provide constructive feedback to team members to support continuous improvement.
Ability to foster, drive and maintain team member engagement.
Ability to effectively detect, surface and resolve conflicts among individuals and/or work groups.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, to include integration of new ideas, new services and clients.
